I pledge to pass out ballpoint pens to the homeless people so thay can go fill out job applications. Every meal they get for free is a meal they don't have to work for like the rest of us. If people would stop giving them crap they'd be forced to go work and earn it like the rest of us.

Do some research
before you make a blanket statement like that. There are over 200,000 homeless Veterans in the U.S. They are homeless because most of them are combat veterans that are ate up with PTSD to the point they cannot hold a job. They are so messed up mentally, and have lost everything, family, home, friends. they don't have anything! If you don't know what PTSD is, you can research it too. You might just learn something. Then maybe you won't be so quick to judge a book by it's cover. If you are not a combat veteran with PTSD, please don't respond to this because even if you do learn about it you will still never understand it.

I don't care who a person is or what they've been through. In EVERY SINGLE CASE there IS an alternative to working a street corner or the front sidewalk of a convenience store hustling hard working patrons for spare change for my 'sick daughter' or my 'aunt in philly that needs an operation'. The next time you see a homelss dude with a sign that says 'WILL WORK FOR FOOD' go up and tell him you have a bunch of yardwork and odd jobs that need to be done and see what happens.

Not all the folks you are talking about that are "working street corners" are homeless. Have you ever been to Hawaii? There are people there that actually live on the beach. They have jobs they go to, they are homeless in the sense that they don't actually live in a house by choice. My point is, there is a difference between someone being homeless and someone hustling folks on the street instead of actually tryng to work.

After the bank CREDITS my ACCOUNT!
First thing is to cash out enough to have some fun. I will give my tithes/offerings to my church and other outreach ministries. NNNNNNNEEXXTTTTTT, I am gonna be a tad bit selfish and do something for my husband and myself. I am going to enjoy a month long vacation before I decide who will be next in line. I will bless some of my family and friends; I would like to ease their pain of living, if any.

As much as I like to maintain friendly, peacable relations with my roloclub mates, I have to say, this statement makes me a tad bit angry. I served this country from 1989 until 1997, earned my combat EIB, senior jump and other accolades in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. When I came home, (quite a few years after our little desert skirmish) everyone told me I was diffrent, hateful, meaner. The nice doctors at the VA told me I had PTSD. I think PTSD is a load of bull that allows others to have an excuse to quit taking personal responsibility, much the same was we as a society use ADD and ADHD as excuses for our unruly kids. Discipline, motivation and self responsibility later, I am the father of 6 well behaved children, I have a good job and a nice home. I am tired of people assuming that because someone is a vetern, they are somehow above the human disease of laziness and irresponsibility. In the words of Drill Instructor SSG. Brown. "Suck it up, grow some nuts and have the intestinal fortitude to get the job done....be a man"
I would agree with the donate pens for the cause plan, get a job, tell me how I can help you get a job, accept meneal work if thats all you know how to do, but take responsibility for yourself, and quit looking to me to do it for you. I did my part, I ate mud, sweat, sand, blood and sh*t for you, I have bled, burned and cried for you. I have taken a stand between those who would kill you and taken the bullet they ment for you, I helped keep you free, now make the best of that freedom and make something of yourself, I refuse to do EVERYTHING for you."Follow me!"-Iron Mike
"Don't sleep beyond dawn, Dawn's when the French and Indians attack."-Major Robert Rogers, 1759
