    Default I pledge

When the R/V takes place and I have enough money, I pledge that I will see to it that many less fortunate are aided, both here and abroad. I will retire, continue to take care of my elderly parents, but then will be able to build them a home with disability and safety features. I want to help others medically and especially with dental. I see so many people that lack money to seek proper dental care for themselves and their children. A portion of the money will be tagged to educate certain people who require skills in order to escape their poverty and live a good life. A certain portion will be tagged for orphaned children in the Philippines and other countries that have very poor facilities for those children....perhaps an American operated "family" type orphanage will be built in memory of my deceased son who passed away at age 21, and who so loved children. I would also like to assure that my husband has all that might be needed to maintain what health he has left and to ease any progression of his lung disease. As for me...I would like the security of not being at the mercy of only social security for retirement, and knowing that I could remain independent of our social services programs in my old age.

In my city I believe there are about 5000 homeless people. I think my wife and I are going to donate to the Mustard Seed, our homeless shelter.

Being pragmatic and realistic and not like many in the habit of making overzealous charitable notions and or hearsay vows that 99% don't materialise once they are surrounded by wealth...

I'd try for my part, outbid whichever amount to get a stake off the Russian's bid on any possible buys offered by the Iraqis on their oilheads!!! ...Yup, saying it as I understand and looking at the stuation once it becomes available, lets start making and making.... and with that being continuous...will charity always be considered thereafter... not any earlier...

WHY????...There's too many NGOs out there with MORE money to handle the world's problems and yet they are picky and calculative and know just how to go about it to stay in the business.... despite that, and with the Govts all around with much more revenue to step in for any hazardous situations plus the spontaneous national campaigns that sprouts up on televised collections...hmmm

I see UK as one of those incredible Govts that has a wealthy budget gathered among the Commonwealth States serving this purpose and indeed, very gennerously too...but is not always appreciated by the receiving end, sadly to note!

US Govt does it openly too but on a "what else have you got to offer that we can discuss quietly aside" policy and the amount ratchets up accordingly...

Many more Govts steps in, ONLY.... after they see their interests threatened by an immediate counterpart State/country moving in just to show (in)genuine support but its always admitted otherwise...

There's enough coverage and collection going on everyday and most people knows that too but to suddenly become a Good Samaritan with little in the wallet but with airy promised pledges....???

Anyway, the real world is indeed out there, poverty is increasing and if you thought Bill Gates, WB or Virgin's flying entrepreneur and philantropist and many more who made it where they are now, by first promising to help through charitable vows during their early years....(who's kidding WHO now?) they wouldn't be where they are now... because that is how it works... though it can be admitted as not 100%, but almost close to that percentage always!

The only person who is in such a position is the Pope... and even that too is questionable... so you see, its nice telling EVERYONE what you will promise... but its also nice to lay back and smile at these {erh hem..serious} vows made....

Can you sum this up or does this do it.
I'm just trying to understand a bit better?
