You - and many others - are clearly expecting too much here. The trial is about certain movements of funds from PIPS' bank accounts to the Marsden's private bank accounts. It's a money laundering trial. Nothing more than that.
The outcome will either be that both or one of the Marsdens is found innocent of the charges or a guilty finding.

Will that answer the questions regarding where the money in PIPS came from, whether Bryan ever had $700 mil, Picpays guaranteed ability to pay, etc, etc...? In one word: No.

Hmm, then I don't understand why you place such expectations on a simple money laundering trial which will only provide limited insights into what we knew as PIPS.

I'm afraid Mr. Dome is quite correct. There will be few answers from this trial for Pipsters. The Malaysian government has no interest in Pips or its members. As far as they are concerned, it is purely a question of their laws concerning money laundering or fraudulent disposition.
There are, however, a number of US states interested in having words with Mr. Marsden at some time in the future should he make himself available to them.
