Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.
Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

This has been done, so what reason could anyone present to change the currency again.
Is there a chance of an invasion from Iran? I doubt it with the world watching Iraq closely, never mind the world having an investment in Iraq's recovery. So an invasion is out of question. Is there a chance that the old regime terrorists and thugs will take over government? Again, highly unlikely given the focus on building up Iraq's military strength, and if even a hiccup were to happen, say years from now, US led forces would be back in a heartbeat.
As you can see, there is not one valid reason for new currency. Certainly, in time, the currency will shift from the current large notes to smaller ones, but this will only happen over time, no worry of immediate phase out of 250K notes or 100K, and the talk of dropping zero's, more nonsense that would make no sense economically or otherwise. So many of these speculations were thrown about for the last two years were done so prior to constititional vote, so throw everything you have read about Iraq out the window if the news is prior to vote and you will get a better understanding of what is really going on in Iraq.
The FOX report has forced the other slanted media heads to start to look beyond the unfortunate bombings, and it was made very clear just the other day by Rumsfield's speech. It is so blantant that only a moron would beleive everything they see on the news. Sometimes you have to look between the lines, and when you do, you see what is really going on in Iraq. The FOX report has embarrased the other news mediia outlets, so my hats off to them for taking a stand and going behind the scenes in Iraq.
More and more of the positive changes are evident, rebuilt schools, medical hospitals, historical mosks turned over to Iraq after being repaired, businesses popping up everywhere, so as I see it, nothing will stop the dinar from gaining in value, in fact, just because of shortages, more will be printed, and they will not be printing anymore large notes, so does this tell you something?
Good luck to all, Mike

Good post Mike, total agreement.
Time to diversify into other investments people, whether it's dinars, hyip's, forex. Could be waiting a while for p**s to come back. Best get out and find something else to invest in and spread out your portfolio.Last edited by Adster; 07-12-2005 at 03:32 PM.

talk about "reading into things." I tend to scan quickly sometimes, and have been assuming that the announcement was going to be made on the actual 6th of January. January 06. American notation would be 01-06-06. Is this monday? And the planet?

His trial is adjourned till Dec 21st , with or without him and its better anyway so he'll get judgement somehow as the ruling is maintained...luckily, that sad nit doesn't know about that fact and that includes Ramsey Clark and the rest of the Defence team.
Bush is making that BIG breaking news as I type/post this, he's coming down heavy on actions against terrorists and protecting our Western civilised interests... so, if anyone thinks of being against Bush and what he actually stands for, to protect our interests albeit your Dinar money or travelling about freely and not be surprised by the next bomb that may hit your mother, father, bro and sisters or increase the oil prices when you fill your guzzler because the oil sites gets targeted as was recently announced on islamic websites, .... you are shortsighted and selfish because you insist on overlooking the long term safety aspect as a whole...
Bush or no Bush, if Chirac was in his shoes, it'll be the same as an inevitable cause...perhaps with MORE expensive champagne or wines to go with...
I hope you guys get your Dinars eventually....into $$$s...you deserve it...but stop being hypocritical about world safety...it is all relative and comes back to hit your savings and spendings.
