I've been reading these posts all day today trying to think of what I may be able to add. Admin, the quote from you above hits the nail on the head. The forums needs to be fair and equal for all. Same rules apply for everybody. It should not be ok for anybody to hurt, yell at, bash anybody on these forums - whether a "group leader" or "neysayer" or "yeasayer" or "lurker" - - everybody should be equal.

I believe, by reading a LOT on RCs boards, that that's not always the case. Mutual respect and maturity is needed on all levels here.

I absolutely do not think that the Rumours section of RC should be taken away. I enjoy rumours as much as the next person...but perhaps the way in which the rumour is communicated needs to be changed. Sometimes it's not "what" you say, but the "way" you say it.

I don't know, just my thoughts. Thanks, Admin, for trying to straighten it all out. Since I'm not in any particular "group," I thought maybe it would be helpful to get a view from someone on the outside looking in.

I DO love the rumours, though. Just hate when all the bickering starts.

A separation between the haves and the have nots will only increase the disharmony that is being felt by a very small percentage of your posters.

Go on with your forum. If you find you have someone who is not following the TOS then deal with them. I don't care if it is me or Yogi ! A forum is not created for individuals, it is created for the masses. If an individual or a small group of disenchanted members are not happy, then the world is wide open to them and they can go and play with others somewhere else. Not every one in life gets along. But in a controlled 'civilized' community all must show the proper respect, whether it is too a group of Christians or a group of skin heads. It is unfair for certain members of a forum population to think they can do and say whatever they will without the repercussions of their actions coming back and bitting them on the hind end. The last thing I would worry about is them finding a new forum and taking their members with them. It isn't going to happen. I have read the threats, but in all honesty, there is too much information here for them and they need that.

Personally if I were moderating this forum, I would stop with all the warnings and start with the banning.

Marek you set up this area for the Dinars, I know of many people who felt it was a great place for educating their youth at home on world topics. The off handed remarks and nasties replies do not need to be read by under age children. Quite frankly I have shied myself from reading some of these threads because although they start off well, they end up miserable. No one needs to be subjected to the posts, and it isn't fair to all your members who out number this current group of unhappy campers.

My advice would be to leave the forum areas up and running as they are, give no one any special considerations, and start removing offensive posts and if they become to much, kick their backsides to the curb.

Respectfully now, I will retire and logoff and just lurk. It is safer in the lurking area. No bombs to avoid, no missiles of personal attacks.

I didnt read this entire thread, but one solution can be a member subscription to their choice of threads? If they don't subscribe they won't have to read them cause they won't be seen by them....just a suggestion.

I believe lglwzd's suggestion was excellent. Simply leave the rumor section for viewing only...No comments except for updates or additional info/comments by the author of any particular rumor thread. That eliminates over 90% of the bickering and fighting in here.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why those who do not like rumors, cannot simply avoid the rumor section. In my opinion, they are deliberately looking to cause trouble and ill will.

I knew that I had seen that suggestion and was going back through the postings to see (for sure) who had made that suggestion. I, too, believe that may be an option. If you start a rumor thread, you own it solely (if that is possible to create). You are the only one that can post in it and no others can reply, only read. If someone has a problem with your rumor, they can start another thread to voice their opinions.

OR, maybe there can be a button in the author's beginning thread to allow others to comment or not. This way, the author is the only one able to open themselves (come what may) to other's responses.

Marek, this could be some of your options for your voting poll, if you wish.

good suggestion, No Carp in that!!

Again, may I suggest moving the rumor section away from the Dinar area into an area of RC all it's own. Make a link to it somewhere in the Dinar area with a disclaimer stating the TOS and any violation results in read-only status. No sense in banning folks completely. Let them cool off without being able to post, a week or two would do it.

Or along that thought, maybe make the Rumor section a moderated thread only? No posts get put up until a MOD has OK'd it?

why on earth would any group need to come here to be alone ? I have a chat linked to this forum and have it running in the back ground. I know other chats have other forums running i the back ground.

everyone visits numorus forums to catch the news / rumors / ideas. I think you are barking up the wrong tree if anyone thinks susie is leading anyone. She loves the idea of the dinar it excites her. She has passed on rumors even when she has taken so hard pokes.

I am not sure susie said you called her a Liar but i dont have the post to go back too at this point. Another posted called her and RR one as i remember.
In your gathering of facts you posted and it seemed to me you took a phone call as how many felt. In susie state i can understand how she got to where she is now.

The Rumor thread is an alternative as it has been but nothing or anything special gets tied to it... it is part of the structure this Forum has set up to serve... no back door entry/exit for the special breed...

RC Forum was NOT created for that special breed...heyyy, we passed through that stage when we were first and almost, sanitized by the man BM, who had a very good reason to quieten us for a personal reason...well, that reason is now part of why he is where he is...

As for others planning to set up within this Forum...the Forums are functioning as it was meant and will be after this /...no changes needed, just people and their moods and the will to accept opposing views in a respectable fashion.
