    Default Possible Solution

    Hi Marek...Everyone,

I have been reading through these as new posts were made each time you opened one of these. I had thought I would just stay out of it as I truly have no beef with anyone. I enjoy the news and rumors threads just as much as anyone. However, when you asked "what we would do if our children" were acting like this, I thought I might make my suggestion; though I don't know for sure how viable it may be to accomplish.

When my children started acting up, standing in the corner or placed in time-out was my best option...usually in the same room where I was so as to keep an eye on them. This same basic concept would be my suggestion...of course, you can't put the members in the corner or in time-out...but, in a sense, you can...virtually. If there are at least two moderators at all times, consistently monitoring the rumors threads, at least one of them may catch things happening before the explosion occurs. I know this is like saying that the rumors threads need a 24-hour babysitter, but maybe that is what it is going to take to keep things in check.

I don't know how many of the mods would have this feature, but I have sbcglobal and I am able to open tabs at the top of my screen. Therefore, I stay in the news and rumors threads simultaneously, just clicking back and forth on the tabs and refreshing the screen to see if something new has been posted. In this manner, I am able to keep up with both places and usually within just a few minutes of new posts being made. If this is not an option for the mods to do it this way, as many now have DSL connections of some sort, I would suggest opening the rumors thread in one browser and using another browser or their ISP browser for all the other sections of the forum they wish to follow. In this way, they could easily 'keep an eye' on the sore spots and have a better chance of heading off conflicts, while still browsing the areas they want to view.

It is truly a sad day when adults need a constant babysitter/forumsitter (if you will), but with this many people in one place, tempers will flare and disagreements will get out of control, especially when money is involved. When things like this happen in a workplace, school room, or wherever two or more people may be causing problems by being so close together, you can usually separate them to opposite sides of a room to avoid the conflicts. Since this is not an option in an open forum, my suggestion above is my best attempt at a possible solution.

    Thanks,

    Patty

    Default Fools rush in...

I will not deign to call what's going on here a problem, a problem is going hungry, not having a roof over your head, watching your children suffer and die, living in fear, not having access to water, being friendless, misunderstanding truth and so on and so forth.
What we have here is a series of temper tantrums driven by impatience and delayed fulfillment of, to a large degree, self-serving interests. We need to be big enough to admit - what most of us are looking for here is the bigger, the better, the more and the merrier. Not to say there are not altruistic motives involved as well but by and large we WANT.
I propose half of us here collectively slap ourselves up the side of the head and the other half box our own ears! (I'm not called BoxMama for nothin'.)
And again, HOW MANY BLINKIN' TIMES NEED IT BE SAID, "IF YOU DON'T LIKE, APPROVE OF, BELIEVE OR ENJOY THE RUMOURS, STAY IN THE NEWS THREADS!!!
    Livin' outside the box.

    Default possible solution

Ok there are those that love rumors I admit I like to hear them it makes thing fun and exciting at times...but I think there needs to be a policy behind them...Ok if you post a rumor that you hear and obviously you post it because you believe in it as a posibility thefore you own it ...you posted it...when the time comes to pass where what was said doesnt pan out then follow up and give a reason why...your contact or the person you heard from said this...well then get a hold of the person who told you of this rumor to find out if there or what the reason it didnt happen....so what im trying to say is if you post a rumor then there should be follow up...if not then there should be consequences....so who agrees with me...I think it will cure alot of hard feelings and bickering...if there were follow ups as to why.
Use common sense...the world may just start look different....its always fun to dream...and you never know they may come true ONE DAY

Hi Patty, thank you for your suggestion, even though I personally don't think this is feasible. I wonder how we mods could really handle that. You may not know it, but we are normal members just like yourself, who have voluntarily taken over some responsability on this forum. We don't get paid for it, and we have a life like everybody else. What you suggest sounds like a full-time job!

I think a change will require some discipline and good will from everybody here. We will just have to accept that we are in this boat together. Most of us (if not all) are coming from democratic countries, so we should be aware of the true sense of democracy: acceptance of the fact that there are different opinions. Every member of this forum deserves respect, and that's how we should treat each other!

    The Worst Case Senario

I Will Close The Whole Dinar Forum On Rolclub For a few Day for you to think for a solution!, Or Permanently if MOB mentality will be used. This is no threat. But a fact. I can not babysit this place nonstop.

Solution Is Now Your Choice. But Mob, Group and Cult Mentality Will NOT be a part of this Forum any longer.
ORDER WILL BE RESTORED ON THIS FORUM ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.

    Hi Antjesz,

I totally agree with you that we should all accept that we have differences of opinion and respect everyone as being different. It seems that this point has been tried and there are still those, for whatever reason, that just do not understand that.

My suggestion was not meant for the same two mods to do this all day long. Maybe more can be appointed and let Marek know what times they can be available. Maybe just one in there at a time for possibly a couple of hours at a time. I realize that this would make what is supposed to be a voluntary position into more of a job. As I stated, it may not be viable, but it is the best suggestion I have in an attempt to help.

I will go back to my sandbox and play nicely now

    Patty

Basically I do agree with you - but then again there isn't always a reason, at least no "official" one. I am convinced that most of what's going on behind the curtains we'll never know. So the follow-up that you request may simply be: "I have no clue...!" And that doesn't even mean that the rumor itself wasn't true.

We should treat every rumor as what it is... a rumor, NOT fact. I personally love them, because they are fun, and they inspire my phantasy. But I don't take them too serious!

I am beginning to see the will showing up...as a result of patience and understanding by those that had seen and heard to speak out eventually and this, is VERY much appreciated when there is interaction and dialog for the purpose of maintaining sanity... albeit here or outside or in an open field.

I see and appreciate the "calling" resonating from Patty (davzgirl), boxmama, dinartank, and inscrutable reminders for his welcomed pointers, we have here a situation rising out of pure aggravation and ego-seeking people trying to manifest their tantrums to an eccentric height for sheer attention... they thought, THIS IS such a place to blow up and off, their image which most soon realized...appeared to feel repugnant by it all!!!

Resentment without diplomacy / dialog sets in and replaced by a "now's my turn, will till you hear what I have to say too" bla,bla BS we soon have to put up reading!!

This Forum stays as it was intended, you come in with an ulterior motive, then you have from the very start, a HUGE personal problem with yourself...not with the opposites you will get to meet or blame this Forum for letting them in...Noooo, you have a PROBLEM of your own making and we get to see it eventually unless you exit before we spot your viral growth getting to grow off your hide....

Rumors thread is not an excuse to blame it on...it is what makes those that goes in there to seek WHAT???...your guess is as good as a donkey's if you can't figure that out after a minute of composure!!! I only seek a good laugh at the magnificent creation of rumors that a human can excel with news or gossips or whatever colorful imagination s/he throws in there, it is good to chill out with such an option given.

The underlying message to all is, COOL it or DO IT somewhere else, but NOT in the ROLClub Forum where we entertain normal human, ADULT behavior that shows respect for EVERYONE despite difference of opinions and mindset... we have no qualms on how you want to think on any issue, just make sure, you don't try to impose others with it...like some have been doing and got the boot...they deserved it!

Marek will need and do what is necessary and you just abide the TOS and rules we want you to respect too and go on with your exchange in constructive postings and we will also stop all those copy pasting of quotes posted earlier in the same forum thread and be concluded only by smileys... that is NOT interaction...thats the start of childish response which is not what this Forum is structured to serve.

If you have no input on another post, smileys alone is not the answer to validate a post...esp. NOT with just posting quotes from another... I will remove it completely from here on and no reason will be given but a red card to start with.

    Thumbs up Thanks, Marek

    Marek,

We appreciate all you are doing and have done to clean up RC. We read the forum everyday from the rumors, banking, news, etc. We do enjoy the rumors and we figure it is our perogative to believe them or not. We do think the rumors about when it is going to reval, have come and gone and some of those are probably the truth. The last couple of weeks have had a lot of hatefulness and negativity. These two things spread like wildfire among the forum. Our suggestion would be to have rules for everyone the same. No one can call names, use profanity or downgrade another human being. This must go for all 24,000 plus members with no exceptions. If people get upset by a certain area, we suggest do not go there. We have used the forum and enjoyed it tremendously. We have met many super people and enjoy the different ideas presented here. You, Marek nor any of the other Mods, should have to babysit 24/7. Most of us are all adults and should appreciate what we have here on RC and not ruin for the rest of us. Thanks for all you have done in the past and now in trying to set things straight. We do apreciate it VERY, VERY MUCH!!!

Admin I think your right on . I'd give this whole Rumors section a cooling off
period. I was gone for a few day's, come back and ..... What in the world is going on?
From my experience, I've not seen a problem in the dinar news threads, maybe just keep this open, and let the rumors section cool off a bit.
Looks like the house cleaning may take care of a lot of this two.
    Just my view.
