but the cabinet doesnt 'ratify' anything. so if they are using that term theres something else goin on here...

This will be voted on once there is enough of a quorum to pass it. I don't believe it has and haven't heard it has. Either way it will be done and is the final piece of the jigsaw. Anyone wondered why the GCC countries are going to revalue??? Do they know something we don't......Are they keeping one step ahead of Iraq.......

The other important FACT is that with all the big oil contracts that will be made from the IC meeting , Oil Summit and other up and coming meetings is Iraq has to have a rate set by then to write into those contracts. The HCL once passed will allow this. The deals will be made prior to the implementation of the HCL. Although oil will still be paid for in dollars, contractors and workers will be paid in dinars. Do you think there will be enough in circulation at the current rate to do this? LOL.

The cabinet have passed it but parliament haven't. Ratify in this article means passed, and the cabinet have passed it. The article says Council of Ministers. That is the cabinet, and not parliament. This is what is needed. Don't worry, it will be done, and that is what we're all waiting on.

great point adster and i might add the fact that how can iraq compete whith its neighbors and it will have to rely on imports to rebuild,how do they do this with this rate without risking running up a serious defficet,can some one aanswer this for me
