the issue with that gold at the time was that alot of it had been stolen/moved from switzerland. at date of print the article insinuated that they were seeking the whereabouts of that misplaced gold. no word since then if they found an oz. although, our very own gold location sleuth may have more information on this subject as she has kept track.

Gold deposited in the Swiss Depository, for the purposes of backing a country's currency is closely monitored by the IMF, WTO and World Bank. ANY change, movement or irregularity would be immediately noticed by these orgs, and would be worldwide news, as it would affect not only the country's currency, but it's ability to trade internationally. Add to this the extraordinary security of ANY Swiss financial institution. No security is greater. They have and always had all the latest technology and the number of checks counter-checks and back-ups are world reknown....Not to mention the highly regarded Swiss Army who physically guard the facilities.

Now they want us to believe $800 billion in gold "disappeared" without ANYONE noticing??? That would have been a MAJOR world coup....The largest robbery, ever, by far.

No way approximately 80 tons of gold disappeared. That is a major transportation feat, and would certainly be noticed. It would require a large number of trucks coming and leaving the facility with a HUGE amount of security.

This gold will not be found, because it's still there...To be used accordingly.

I can see how $800 billion (Approximately $1.5 trillion today) would "disappear"....It would be hard to have debt forgiveness with that on your balance sheet

Baghdad, Jan 23, (VOI) – Dollar demand declined on Tuesday in Iraq’s central bank daily auction, reaching $60.605 million compared to $104.240 million on Monday.
In its daily statement the bank said it covered all bids which were $13.105 million in cash and $47.500 million in foreign transfers at an exchange rate of 1,295 dinars per dollar, three ticks lower than Monday’s rate.
None of the 14 banks that participated in Tuesday’s auction offered to sell dollars.
Economist Abdul-Razzaq Sadeq al-Abaiji told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI) the new decline in rates heralded a new retreat in auction activity.
Abaiji expected a big rise in the monthly sales of the central bank during the coming months after approving the Iraqi federal budget in dinars. He said this would make the government buy dinars from the central bank and sell dollars in the daily auction, thus propelling sales to record levels.

قال محمود المشهداني رئيس مجلس النواب العراقي اليوم الثلاثاء اثناء أفتتاحه الجلسة رقم 62 أن قادة الكتل يصوتون اليوم على طلب تمديد عمل المجلس لغاية العاشر من شباط فبراير الجاري.

But Almshahadani telling them that "the American forces did not give members block consensus and block other cards, especially members of the Council as to the other blocs" and said "they refused my request pretext they complain if granted compatibility cards it will introduce (terrorists)."

واضاف المشهداني وبنبرة حادة " لا توجد سيادة ، والا كيف تفتش قيادية على ايدي (علوج لا يفقهون التقاليد) ويقصد بهم القوات الاجنبية."
He added Almshahadani and sharp tone, "There is no rule, but how to search leadership at the hands of (Al ignorant traditions) to mean foreign forces."

وقد اثار تصريح المشهداني أعضاء جبهة التوافق وهددت القاضي بمقاطعة الجلسة في حال عدم منحهم بطاقات خاصة تخولهم الدخول أسوة ببقية زملائهم دون التعرض للتفتيش.

قال محمود المشهداني رئيس مجلس النواب العراقي اليوم الثلاثاء اثناء أفتتاحه الجلسة رقم 62 أن قادة الكتل يصوتون اليوم على طلب تمديد عمل المجلس لغاية العاشر من شباط فبراير الجاري.
Said Mahmoud Almshahadani President of the Iraqi parliament today, Tuesday, during the inauguration of the No. 62 that the leaders of the bloc vote today on the request for the extension of the work of the Council until February 10th of this month.

وقال المشهداني لاعضاء البرلمان " تم الاتفاق على ذلك بشرط أن تكون الفترة منتجة ويتم فيها الانتهاء من التصويت على الموازنة وإقرار قانون عمل المفوضية العليا المستقلة للانتخابات وقانون أنتخابات مجالس البلديات وتمديد قانون الطوارىء.
He said Almshahadani for members of Parliament "has been agreed on the condition that the period be productive and be the completion of the vote on the budget and approve the work of the Office of the Independent Electoral Commission and the law of the municipal elections and the extension of the Emergency Law.

وقد صوت مجلس النواب بالاجماع على تمديد عمل البرلمان لغاية العاشر من الشهر الجاري.
The House of Representatives has voted unanimously to extend the work of parliament until the 10th of this month.

وينص الدستور العراقي على وجوب مصادقة البرلمان على موازنة 2007 قبيل أنتهاء الدورة التشريعية الثانية.
