Citibank rolls out global Internet banking services in Vietnam

Citibank launched two Internet banking services in Vietnam Thursday – online investments and web-enabled financial services.
They were targeted at businesses, financial institutions, and the government, the bank, which has a branch in Ho Chi Minh City, said.

Online Investments is a web-based investment service for management of liquidity by allowing companies to manage their cash and investments through one application.

Institutional clients can also view live rates, book investments, and report a range of products from Citibank’s branches in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Sri Lanka, New York, London, and Vietnam.

CitiConnect, the web-enabled financial services, allows clients to make settlement for purchases online.

Electricity of Vietnam is reportedly the first client to register for this service and will use it in Hanoi on a trial basis.

Importing is costing far too much because the buying power is not there. By saying value they mean the value of 16121 to the dollar instead of for example if it was equivalent to 3 cents. They rely heavily on imports and exports for their economy and IMO this is one of the main reasons they are wanting to move on and revalue asap, and they will.

Basically they're currently vastly undervalued and losing out because of it.
Zubaidi:Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states.

Shabibi:The bank wants as a means to affect the economic and monetary policy by making the dinar a valuable and powerful.

I am surprised that you got the shaft as you ordered on Wednesday. Will BoA keep your order on file so you don't have to keep re-submitting it? Or do they just cancel you out and you have to start over?

I ordered on Wednesday night also online. I called to check today and was told that the order was cancelled and that I should reorder today as they just got some in stock today. I went back online to reorder and found that my credit card was charged yesterday. I called back and was told that they re-submitted my order and that I will have my shipment on Monday next week. I am a BOA customer via my credit card, so I don't know if this is why they went on and put the original order through at the $69/mil price.

That's interesting. They told me my order was cancelled, but I never received the email cancellation she told me they sent. I don't want to order again from Ali, if the order was filled.

This strikes me a bit funny:

    Cancellation policies and procedures.

Orders cannot be cancelled once you have received the order confirmation number. But if, after you receive it, you feel you do not require your currency, please contact us via e-mail at bankofamerica.com/contactus. The exchange rate to return your foreign currency may be different from the original transaction.

No where in there does it say they (BoA) can cancel our orders if they give us a confirmation number...

I never received a cancellation e-mail either. You might want to call them or check your credit card to see if it shows the charge. Mine shows the charge. Good luck also.
