Flexibility. Bank of America account holders may purchase up to $5,000 in foreign currency. Non-account holders may purchase up to $500 in foreign currency. Bank of America rounds to the nearest foreign currency denomination, which may change your U.S. Dollar amount.


Choice. Use your U.S. Bank of America checking, savings, or credit card account to pay for your foreign currency. Non-account holders can use their Visa® or Mastercard® credit card. We are unable to accept non-Bank of America debit cards, including those with the Visa or MasterCard logo. All credit card transactions will be processed as a cash advance in U.S. dollars.

Total Amount of Purchase.
Your total order for foreign currency and foreign currency travelers cheques must be $100 or more. If you are ordering multiple currencies, the minimum purchase amount for each currency is $25. When using a non-Bank of America credit card, the maximum combined order amount is $500. When using a Bank of America checking, savings, or credit card account, the maximum combined order amount is $5,000. Foreign currency orders over $1,000 must be picked up at a Bank of America full service banking center. Identification will be required.

Cancellation policies and procedures.
Orders cannot be cancelled once you have received the order confirmation number. But if, after you receive it, you feel you do not require your currency, please contact us via e-mail at bankofamerica.com/contactus. The exchange rate to return your foreign currency may be different from the original transaction.

Just wanted to let every one know I did a trial order. Since i do not have a BOA account i ordered $500usd worth of dong = to 7230000 vnd with a Credit Card. Shipping was $7.50. I asked for small notes only. They say it should take 1-3 days. I will let you know how this goes!!!!!!!!

Isnt the dong even more worthless then the dinar and going nowhere fast.

Actually, Vietnam is going like gangbusters right now. I think the WTO is after them to RV their currency.

I just got in shortly ok from a inside trip to Bof A with a freind that had a account their. What is alarming to me, considering the rumors is that, The Foreign Exchange lady was amazed that we can get it online and not at the banks itself until Tommorrow. I was a non-account holder and couldn't do anything if they did. But they were very nice and informational.

The alarming is that the word is out and the purchases will be coming in. Even the tellers were excited.

I have another freind that is looking to buy ahugh amount. What we have found out is Account Holders can only make $10,000.00 purchase inside or $5000.00 Online per Transaction. That is only 130 million and he wants alot. Non account Holers "Only Online" $500.00 per purchase.

So since I have gotten home and am a non account holder, I have gone online as Joedinar above and made several orders from different Credit Cards. Thing is, your credit Card will be billed a Cash Advance. So their is another fee that, I feel real soon is worth it.

My Freind that wants the large amount, went to a Wells Fargo and they can fill his order of 1 billion but, they said he may get alot of Paper Notes with the Polymer Ones. I didn't know much about that until he said that his associates have stated that Vietnam Government is doing away with the paper Notes "VERY SOON". I dont know but just wanted to tell all that.

With that $7something shipping charge. I am going to the bank tomorrow and get the whole story from them----(NICE LOOKING TELLER THERE) I know I'm a dirty Old Man. LOL

But I done got the whole story from this end. I would say if you have a account, and can offord, you have a two day window to order before the week-end. Online is easier for you account holders.

Neno, do you suppose since BOA supplies Chase Bank with Dinars, they would also carry or start carring Dong?? Your Thouhgts?
