Not that I'm buying your theory but it does have merit. It does fall in line with what's been happening so far - BUT - it doesn't take into account all the things that the Iraqi's (official) have been saying. We all know there are conflicting statements, announced actions postponed, old articles presented as new and contradicting what's just been said...

My point is that you have formed your theory about this and we have formed ours. Nobody will know until it's all over so, by all means disagree, but there's no room for behaviour like ATMCSMDs and some others.

Thanks greatstuff. I think it's great to have varying opinions and view points and I believe that this should be discussed in a civil manner. No one knows more than anyone else here and we can only draw on what information we can get. No one, whether touting a reval tomorrow or no increase ever, needs to talk down to anyone else. We are all equals here and should treat others, and be treated ourselves, with nothing but respect.

This whole "return to it's previous rate" thing could mean any rate before the statement was made. Noone has proven what "on par with the dollar" means either. Sure it sounds like it means equal to the dollar but who really knows? I've seen so many people on this forum try to shove square statements into round holes that I lost count. I go purely on common sense....there's no way in hello operator that a $700-$800 investment will yield $3.22M USD or $1.61M USD or $3.45M USD....PERIOD. If you think it's possible then you are good at pulling the wool over your own eyes. The only "proof" that can be offered for slow appreciation is a good dose of common sense. Arguments like "pennies on the dollar" are crackpot theories molded to fit someones desires. If people put as much effort into their real jobs as they do into wishing and hoping for an overnight miracle and reading forums for countless hours they may actually get somewhere.

You came out and attacked me for my opinion, that seems to be were the part of the discussion I was involved in became un-civil. You are wrong and out of line. You recognized this was a new member's first post, and a very good one at that, but you chose to treat it as an offense to your personal sensibilities. That will not make it on this board.

Can we get back to the original topic? RR began this thread with a wonderful post. As usual it has digressed into this. I thought the TOS rules were going to be strictly inforced.

This is so disappointing. Time and time again, some of us with very little time, must wade thru all this other "info" while trying get info on a TOPIC (Thread) of our choosing.

Duck started a thread for "other" topics. Geeez people can we follow directions, at least, some of the time??? Can we stay on topic for once??? Debating what the IQD will and will not do, is not the topic of this thread. Why not start a thread for that??? This is getting so ridiculous.

Hopefully, when the MODS come in and delete posts from this thread, this one will be gone, as it is also off-topic.

Guys, I am very sorry for this post....But I cannot believe I am the only one who gets tired of seeing the same ol' thing day after day.

Hello, mods. I get concerned now a days when i see a first post for someone. Over the last week, there have been many occasions where I or someone else will read a first post only to realize they are disquising themselves under a new name after being banned. I am not one to be totally on guard all of the time, but have gotten caught off guard this past week by such posters.

I guess we should look at a new poster and accept them and their thoughts just like any of us who have been posting for a while. I realize there are many who have been members and never post. I really don't know where I'm going with this....i guess away now.

*Disclaimer* I am not saying that gertti falls under this category, btw!! i just stay on guard now after seeing many people register lately under different names. I liked what gertti said.
