Almost 48 hours from the count I've seen. I believe the longest it was down was 3 or 4 days sometime late last year. I suspect it either crashed due to too many hits on it's server or they are making some major changes to the website.

independant "U.S. banks" go out of business, but the money is still there, and this isn't a "U.S. bank" that we are talking about!!! this is an Iraqi national bank, one that has been trading with the E.U. and others already!! no one, much less the U.S. will let them go under!!!

As a long-time CBI watcher I was "there" for the down of CBI late last year. It was not out more than about 16 hours that time. It was an exciting 16 hours though...

BTW, i mean this in a very light-hearted way. I really think those reasons are not acceptable unless the IT guys at the CBI are completely and utterly incompetent.
