To our valued customers

Early this morning the Central Bank of Iraq Website (where we retrieve current exchange rate information) crashed. This crash apparently affected the alert that was sent out to our customers. As far as we can determine, the exchange rate did change this morning from:

1270 Dinars to the Dollar ($787.40 per million Dinar)
To
1269 Dinars to the Dollar ($788.02 per million Dinar)

We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience that this may have caused and we appreciate your continued patronage.

that's why i'm trying to figure out if they are quoting a IQDUSD rate or a USDIQD rate .. if .. USDIQD .. then .. it is still possible that the first guy that Neno was talking to was quoting USDKWD .. but if it was an IQDUSD rate .. then .. it's not likely he was talking about Kuwait dinar ...

Sorry, I thought that was what you were asking . It could be possible that the first guy was misreading and quoting the KWD, but Neno says he confirmed several times that he was talking about the IRAQI Dinar. The guy may just be new and doesn't know there is a difference...would be my guess since others seem to be confirming the old rates.

Neno, what dinarsafe says now does not really matter...
Obviously they had a live feed from CBI and the new rate showed up without them knowing ( automatically)...

Let's take a breath...1..2...

I and many others have run in to the same problem with Chase. At times, they look up the wrong currency, or put the wrong amount in the converter..
when it has been a different rate than expected, I have asked them to check it... and sure enough, they were wrong the first time.

Unfortunately, this is not a good time to be told screwed up rates..

That's a FACT...

This CBI computer system just so happens to "Crash" and displays a crazy exchange figure at the same time???

I don't think so...Any "Crash" should NOT have done that to the figure...

Iraq is 8 hours ahead of EST. So that would make it 11:00PM in Iraq.
