This was my thought way back when it was a hot topic. We know these smaller denoms did not have Saddam plastered all over them, and three of the notes did have security features as they were more recently printed. When they changed currency, the larger Saddam notes were visible when destroyed, but ironically in the pictures I had examined, there were no smaller denoms seen, so I suspect they did save them since there would be no reason to burn them all, so time will tell, but it would make sense to atleast use the same plates. Another point, who would counterfeit the small notes anyway, like 5D, 10D as example?

If they would Re-Issue these same small notes, I'm sure they would add the new security features! I believe the "Swiss" Dinar notes are still being used in some parts of the Country as I have seen quotations for them.. The Swiss Dinar notes were not widely counterfeted like the Saddam notes because de laRue still had the original printing plates. So, it is possible that the smaller Swiss Dinar notes could still be easily Re-Activated as Legal Tender.

Absolutely BD. If they did re-issue them certain security features would have to go into them, such as an updated signature, and maybe the ultraviolet markings.

One problem though...

When they came out with the new bills in October 2003, they said that everyone had 3 (or was it 4) months to exchange the old for new, and then the old would no longer be accepted any longer.

I think it would just confuse everyone if now they said that the old 1 - 20 Dinar bills are now valid. Sure they could have saved a few bucks from De La Rue, but the idea was to have a NEW START (plus all the other advantages).

Judas I will tend to agree somewhat on this thread with you.
HOWEVER and I mean HOWEVER, I was online and watched you post your other 3 threads and the only thing lame is YOU. I am sorry and apologize to the Mods of RolClub Raditz, Neno, Bob and the others.
So far the only thing that you have brought to this forum is negativity and lack of respect for others!!
