I think most of the rumors include that highlight, family member who would never lie, trust the person with their life, was never interested in the dinar before they suddenly discovered this new info, etc. etc.

It's a rumor so it may or may not happen. But it is of note that Treater places value on this source....not the average rumor for sure.

One of these rumors will happen....just don't know when.

actually, the article the other day stated on thursday it would be voted on and enacted next week. then theres this one...

energy commission passed it. since all the amendments were made and everything before that happened i would say its been already read by parliament a couple times and what will happen is the changes will now be read to parliament before they vote. as long as they all agree we will have a passed hcl. that could happen as soon as sunday. then enactment to the presidential council which shouldnt take any time either.

Generally such a decision (on lifting the dinar rate of exchange) a multifaceted and complex dimensions, is a decision of great importance to the economic policy and was necessary to be considered and adopted by the Council of Ministers and the federal government before taking its implementation. Especially since the article 110 III of the Constitution clearly states that monetary policy is the exclusive jurisdiction of federal authorities ..

i think this is all a rather feasible timeline...

I posted on the other forum to state that the wording of the rumour sounds too familiar. Anything with a "done deal" statement triggers a great deal of scepticism. Moreover, why would banks have to be alerted or have to be prepared? They deal with money so why do they require any additional preparation?

I do know that the original poster merely posted what he/she heard and I am not doubting their intentions one bit. Phew! that's the disclaimer out of the way.

I will go out on a limb by stating that this rumour will not transpire and will be another one to bite the dust. If it does revalue on the 24th, I promise to hand over the original poster 500,000 dinars. If this were to really revalue, that is one hell of a lot of money so for my sake, I really hope that this doesn't pan out!

I understand that rumours are fun and stoke people's hopes and I will not act as a dampener here. Good luck to you all. It's pretty certain that the RV will happen but I don't think anyone is privy to confidential info pertaining to the exact date or the revalue amount.

no bank other than this info here indicated any rate when they confirmed they had been contacted that it was going to get a new value. i believe the banks have been notified just as they had been numerous times before that its probably going down but just as before im sure the banks are cautious because the order has been canceled so many times before.

yes, one of our researchers confirmed the numerous revalue notifications the bank had received in the last year when she spoke in confidence with her bank manager.

Seems no one questioned Stephanie on iif when she put her little bank/rv rumor out there, it was the gospel truth cause it came from a bank teller, right? It didn't come to pass but goes to prove the banks are informed ahead of time (if she was telling the truth).

Strange thing about the done deal is that it reminds me of "Prior" and now he suddenly surfaced on another forum (August was his last post before today) this morning after this rumor surfaced. Coincidence? Maybe Prior morphed into Treater? The saga continues.

There have been a fair few rumours since my foray into the dinar world. I got sucked in by a few and did end up purchasing dinars to add to my loot. I do not blame anyone other than myself for my actions. I have since become a shade wiser and have capped my holdings. Even if CBI were to issue a statement claiming a revalue would happen on a certain date, I would not add to my holdings.

Make no mistake about it, but some new dinar investors will invariably get influenced by the rumours despite the good intentions of the posters. This is sadly the way it is. There are a few posters on iif who claimed to have inside govt sources in Iraq and have witnessed the passage of their rumours into oblivion. They still continue to post claiming to have such lofty alliances. To borrow a quote, "Rumours are like anti-freeze; sweet but lethal!"


Rumours will come and go but the RV will definitely happen.

Wow! I sure hope this happens. It sounds like they're all getting their little ducks in a row before the give us the reval. Fingers and toes crossed everyone. I KNOW it will be worth the wait - - better now than later!
