Yeah I guess if all you do is hope, then you have a lot of time on you hands. Wait, that wasn't my point... lol.... maybe it's ok to hope in some aspects and not in others? or maybe hope is just part of it? I remembered the day just before I took the next ferry crossing, as a result of cancelling the doomed ferry that left on schedule but we just couldn't because, my dog took too much time being at the Vet etc...

The boat was the Herald of Free Enterprise **...that was then a part of the thriving business between Belgium & Dover, the one we came to accept as a Roll On, Roll Off till..... it Rolled OVER just minutes after it left port.

The next day, I slept like a log in our cabin anyway, despite the quick glimpse over the starboard as our ferry passed the half submerged ferry as I told my wife, leave that latch unlocked during OUR crossing...just this time honey!!!

No point hoping that it SHOULD NOT happened to us.... rather sleep on it and should it happen, perhaps Davy Jones may have a special feast waiting for us.... I like feasts & fun where I go someplace new...

Either all of that utter nonsense is true, like prosecutors all over the world being crooked (now that’s quite an accusation, just glossed over here!) and in cahoots or else “not enlightened” enough to understand that BM is the messiah of new age finance, or just one thing is true, and most of you are beginning to realize what that is. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that PIPS is not a Ponzi scheme. The most logical reason is that Bryan hasn’t taken the money and run! He instead paid out real and significant returns to many of us, while at the same time doing two of the most stupid things the founder of a PONZI scheme could do – he withdrew the incentive to recruit, and limited our ability to promote the scheme, by preventing us from using websites to promote it. Pretty dumb if you ask me!!!

It is not impossible to make 2% per day on the Forex market and through derivative trading. Changes in the market have encouraged very high gearing on some of these commodities, and there are people doing it regularly with success, although few are altruistic enough to do it for someone else. I know people who regularly make more than 10% in a day’s trading. My first trial made well over 10% on day one. Sure, I do not have the experience, nor the time and patience to do it every time, but there are now opportunities that were not available as little as 15 years ago, due solely to the enhancements in computing power. But as a seller of Share Analysis software I have been amazed how many people cannot see the sense on buying on the rise and selling on the fall. There is still a grand belief among the majority of people of Share-Market investors that you should buy and hold regardless of the market trends. It made Warren Buffett a lot of money so it must be right! I have never heard anyone pose the question, ‘Could he have made a ton more money if he had changed strategies to move with the changing opportunities that computing power and derivatives have brought to the market?’

You are right in questioning the existence of a grand conspiracy, although there is no doubt that the traditional hierarchy in many ‘professions’ can be very protective of their historical perspective. Bankers do have a vested interest in maintaining an expectation of low interest rates amongst the unsuspecting public, and they do not have a monopoly on the fixation on historic practices. Doctors do it, theologians do it, the legal profession does it, and I am sure many other examples could be brought to light if we wanted to go on. But you are wrong on asserting that the absence of such a conspiracy necessarily implies a PONZI. There are some very simple reasons why PICPAC got into trouble, and while they come back to haunt Bryan as CEO, they do not measure the man as corrupt, merely under-performing in that CEO role. Firstly, Banks are not set up to provide Bank Drafts in large numbers. Their internal systems require crosschecks and counter-signatures for audit trails, and are far too slow and cumbersome for the level of output that PICPAY required. A decision was made not to ‘trust’ the likes of e-gold and e-bullion, possibly for good reason (although my own experiences suggest otherwise) with the inevitable consequences of a bottleneck in processing payments. The failure of PICPAY to adopt other more effective methods of distributing funds may point to managerial incompetence, but it does not point to a Ponzi scheme! Again, PONZI schemes are always going to fall over of allowed to continue too long, so one can confident expect the perpetrator to disappear (with the loot). Which Bryan has clearly not done!

SoulSurfer, if you are a member of PIPS you have three basic options at the moment:
1. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
2. B1tch and moan and complain and make the process of waiting that is inevitable that much more tedious (especially for others).
3. Try to make as much trouble for Bryan as you can, which makes the process of waiting, perhaps, more entertaining (for you), but also less like to end successfully, or
4. Give up and disappear with dignity. And just maybe, down the track you will get a pleasant and unexpected, but certainly not unacceptable surprise IF phoenix arises from the ashes!

I now where my intelligence points me!

eerily though...I came home the other night and on the Telee, the film titled "ghost ship" was being shown...not sure if it was on BBC or on one of the cable sttions on the European Continent...but what a coincidence....it featured a ship that was Captained by an Italian... a ghost of course!

GrahamB, thank you for your intelligent rebuttal. For your sake, and that of many others here, I wish that you were right. Time will tell. I only said how things "appear" to me and made a prediction; once again acknowlege I have no proof.

I am done here. Despite what some accuse me of, I did not come here to "stir things up," I came here to caution people, out of true concern. And I appreciate that the "moderating" mods allowed me to express that.

But when I was predictably attacked by the vicious likes of SM and others, I fought back, against these "petty tyrants." SM, you may think you are powerful and popular, but to me you will always be just a "pipsqueak."
