Hope springs eternal...I suppose we all could use that money to some degree right now...I would personally forfeit my PIPS investment if I could be guaranteed that the Marsdens would never get out of prison...2 or 3 more years and we will know the truth...

All those Pool operators sure did drop out of sight!!

This amount of $2.5k on the vey high side. The cases are heard continously at which readymoney had estimated about $667 (Admin had deleted his posting and banned him)

Anyway i will re-post what redaymoney had posted:-

Airfare - to & fro Penang - RM200
Accomodation - RM200 X 4 nights = RM800
Taxi - RM500
Meals - RM100 X 4 = RM400
Phone calls - RM100

TOTAL - RM2000 = usd667

Just an observation for those of you who are questioning the Admin's numbers. The numbers you have provided only accounts for 1 trial, not both. So take your numbers and multiply them by 2. Also, thebat$ loses money every time he makes one of these trips on our behalf. His employer does not pay him when he is not at work. Since many of these trips has only resulted in one or two days of his time, the financial loss is not as great; but it is still a financial loss to thebat$.

Now we are asking him to spend 3-4 days each week for the trials for our benefit. Any of you want to do it for free? Can you afford to do it for free? I seriously doubt it. I don't have any objection to paying thebat$ for the income he loses on these trips. He also runs the risk of losing his job being gone for two weeks helping us.

I will let the Admin address the amount of funds issue, but come on people, thebat$ is not getting rich off us by doing this for us. From what I have been able to see, he has lost money. Yet he still does this for us. Just my two cents worth.

As I have posted before, I use the airline that was so kindly suggested by person you are quoting and RM200 isn't sufficient as you have to book really early to get that price and as you all know the trial can be abrupt. I've booked earlier and resulted in a loss when the trial was cancelled and had to go home by bus! Still its cheaper than the national carrier which runs a high as RM400 one way but you get peanuts and a drink!!!

Then there is the hotel, August is independence month culminating in the 31st. Hence it is promoted heavily and also school term break. I don't have to tell you the hotel rates as well as vacancy. I don't want to stay in a 4-star hotel, I'll stay in a two star hotel if its safe but most likely these budget and moderate hotels would be packed and I may have to stay in a better class hotel. I will be staying from the 3rd till the 7th of August 08. So it's 5 days.

Food budget is way off. I never eat so much! But thanks for the budget.

I've given my estimates to Admin about roughly that figure (US$700). If you multiply by two trials in the same month, it will be US$1400. Admin has kindly wanted to reimburse me for my losses each time I make the trip. I make a living by tutoring and the last trip I was docked 1 months pay for missing classes. I don't make much and when I come back after the trip, I still have replacement classes to do. Some of the parents don't like it as their kids timetable is full hence the cut.

Being away, my family also has incidental costs as schedules and driving get interrupted. I am basically self-employed so I can fetch them too and fro but without me at home, even if there is a car nobody can drive it all the time because of different time schedules. Which means we need to spend from our own pocket for things like taxi fares etc. I never wanted to complain and I am not doing it now. I am just clarifying so you all can understand.

I have also mentioned to Admin that we might need the services of a lawyer for obtaining information regarding the trial and lawyers cost anything from a few hundreds to a thousand malaysian ringgit. So I have yet to find the lawyer but I will make sure that the price is reasonable.

I also would like to remind my fellow members that despite my feet which were still swollen, I went to KL for you because we needed to know. I made the arrangements as close as possible and spend wisely as I could as I know we have a limited budget. I'm doing my best. One thing is for sure, it ain't a HOLIDAY for me and I don't get RICH by going to the trials. What I am hoping for is like most of you are hoping for that somehow we're going to see some money come back to us.

In the very least, we will know if the fella (BM) is going to get bail and sue him so he stays inside. There are people raising the cost issue as a smoke screen as I have been doing this for sometime without complaints and submitted my expenses back to Admin without him requesting it. I think these people are scared. They want us to back off as we will know what's going on. They would much rather let us forget about PIPS and hopefully slip away under the cover of judiciary process. They can't do that with someone always present and reporting back.

So there you have it. I'm telling you upfront. No hanky panky. The person who questioned Admins figure of US$2500 has ulterior motives. You're questioning his intergrity and in a sense my intergrity. We have been nothing but forthcoming and served with honor. It was done to stir up the members sentiments. Just think how much it would cost for any of you save the "person" who posted it to come to Malaysia and run around the courts.

What's purpose of a trip if nothing is to report. Just an opinion. If we need an answer we should bug BNN for detail explanation and frozen money that they earn interest from.

Court is just institution that just listen both sides on their own terms. This whole scenario is without any logic. People here are desperate to see outcome of "so call trial", which is still not 100% defined legally( just paper work). Charges are just from prosecutor based on BNN statement. This mean nothing in eyes of court. Legally they need to proceed as prosecutor filed.

Since this is private (no media allowed) trial, it is illegal to snoop around court and collect information. It,s even more dangerous to post on public forum report of event, so I hope owner of this forum is aware of this liabilities. No other public forum has similar scenario, because they know rules.

It's not a private trial. It's just that there are no interest from the media. Everything I report is within bounds of the law. So I question your "friendly" observation and object to your insinuation. Your veiled threat is very apparent and anything but friendly.

Another attempt at keeping us away from the trial with a load of crap as explanation. The charges based on the prosecutors evidence gathered by BNM and the facts. You cannot be just simply charged. Also it means nothing in the eyes of the court? Then the lawyer should have gotten them off. Why don't you defend them.

I am sorry, but who have i banned? for what? Do you happen to know if i banned anyone or not or if its someone else that took the action? If its someone else, i will be happy to find out who did that. But jumping to conclusions without reason is a very bad thing wont you think?
