Langkawi is fine to me. I have been there many times lol but if I would have an alternative suggetion I would vote for Redang Island (Off Trengganu State) or Cherating Beach in Kuantan, Pahang State.
The highway linking Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan has completed. The travelling car by is shorter (3-4 hours) or get a flight from KLIA to Trengganu state.
