Dear Trivek, postings from Guests have been off for past 3 months. If someone has a Guests staus today it is because some moderator removed that username, but didnt remove their posts. When the username is removed from the database, it still leaves a Guest Nick on that post.Originally Posted by Trivek

Admin, I am quite new to this forum but am open to paying a small fee for it to continue. However, may I make a couple of suggestions? Start with a smaller fee, either $10 per 6 months, or the quarterly $5 mentioned by someone else earlier in this thread. I think you will get more signups and in the end, it will be more profitable.
Please allow PayPal as a payment option. It is such a headache to fund e-gold or e-buillion...Paypal is much easier.
Just want to add, I'd certainly rather pay $25 for a year here, than $120 for a year at BTI! I like this forum MUCH better!

I am happy to pay too. Its a service that is needed and I believe has been proven invaluable in recent times.
Paypal or Stormpay is a good payment option for me.
Thanks admin for all you do.

Since guests can't post, then why not enable them to view all the posts on this forum, since most people just come to read the information?

Admin ,
I would opt for the smaller payment , say $5.00 and see how it goes
Most people would be willing to spend five bucks for the previlage
of staying informed . Make it mandatory for everyone and that
would raise $35000 for you . I would think that might get you
enough to to work with until you (we) can figure out a better
solution . That would take care of the immediate need for capitol
you need to make the changes you need to make . I'm not against
paying , if you need more , do it quarterly or however . It's just that
$25 is alot for some , me included , but i can up with $5 maybe 10 .
Thanks
Smoke

Wow, why do I feel like I am getting the run around?
This is a membership related question as it relates to saving money for you and/or members.
Bottom line: Allowing guests to view all posts would = less sign ups which would = more free space for the database.
Am I right here or not?

I agree with smoke's suggestion.
It is not much to pay $5.00 or $10.00 initially and get your plan put into action and hopefully 10,000 x 10 x 80% = $80,000.00. This will at least give you a kick start straight away and I believe there will be majority who would be prepared to pay $10.00 per year of subscription.
Not much to ask to come to a forum for one year and get the latset information on Pxp and other news etc

So that would not solve anything. what we need is a server with high bandwith transfer. 4000 BM of hosting space is more then enough for us for a very long time, but its the Bandwith that is making all these problems.

Oh great and powerful Joser. Did it ever occur to you that maybe the admin is new to running forums and was only informed today that he could do better by having banners and accepting donations? Why don't you help, instead of accuse?
Money for nothin, and your chicks for free ... okay, no free chicks but serious on the money front.
