Just got off the phone with Lucky Duck. We have a mutual friend who is also an investor in the dinar. He and a few other heavy investors had a conference call yesterday afternoon. They were talking with someone who is in the know concerning Iraq and the dinar. This source said the reason the dinar was not r/v'd at end of August is because the decided value of $1.20 was change to around the $1.50 mark. A law has to be read 3 times before passed and because the amount was changed the law was changed also and the readings had to start over. The first had been read twice already. He did not think it would happen over this weekend but did feel it would happen within two weeks time. He admitted that anything could happen.

This is all I know until I am able to talk to my friend first hand and Lucky Duck will fix what I missed latter when she can post.

I can usually decipher these things but I have to admit that almost the whole paragragh makes no sense to me, really I wouldn't give it alot of thought. The Dinar can and will rise in value if money is poured into the country via investments of various kinds. The bottom line is that the dinar simply must be worth more than the paper it is printed on in order for those investments to BENEFIT Iraq

BTW, thanks for sharing your call w/ us! (1.50 is very close to SGS's 1.48 prediction!)

I want to really thank all the folks here that do all this research. I am just an old redneck and don't know much about politics. That is why I mostly just read and send thanks for the info. But rest assured that your work is appreciated!
