Wow, where should i start. Forex news is enormous. Meaning most forex web sites carry worldwide news about everything economically, that affects exchange rates.

Anyhow, here are some i check:

I keep an eye on this site...when you see Iraq on the list I think we're in business. Foreign Exchange Rates - 12:00 noon - Federal Reserve Bank of New York

There's also Oanda, which has the dinar listed and the rate for the day.

Fox News just announced that Bush will haver a press conference about Iraq at, I believe they said 2pm.

What's bugging me:

We have heard that these small denoms are in the banks. Now, come on, a bank teller who does not distinguish between the big and small denoms? And what would be the point of saying that she saw these banknotes, if that's not the truth?!

It is definately coming. If the smaller denoms are there in the banks, there is NO WAY for no reval. Just logical.

I had a thought ,lol That when they pass out the checks and the Iraqi people cash them that is when they will give out the lower denoms. Now don't kill me to bad on this, it was only a thought.

I went to the CBI, and pulled up structure and I saw this. That they are to Hold the Gold and manage the state reserves of Gold


The primary objectives of the CBI shall be to achieve and maintain domestic price stability and to foster and maintain a stable and completive market – based financial system subject to these objectives, the CBI shall also promote sustainable growth, employment and prosperity in Iraq.

The functions of the CBI in achieving the objectives mentioned above.

Formulate and implement monetary policy including exchange rate policy for Iraq.

Hold gold and manage the state reserves of gold.

Issue and manage Iraq currency.
*

Establish oversee and promote sound and efficient payment system.

Issue licenses or permits to banks and to regulate and supervise banks as further specified this law and in the banking law.
*

Carry out any ancillary tasks or transactions in accidental to the exercise of its functions under Iraqi law.
