i believe the cbi has advanced past their auction stage and i dont suspect these will continue as they have been.

they will set a fixed rate which will be controlled by the global market and not the cbi auctions.

I agree and again I'll state that they will post the r/v, most likely on a holiday to allow shops/ markets to adjust their rates accordingly. Then I think the 10,ooo gift will be given out...don't forget the smaller denoms

I found this interesting...

I went to the Central Bank of Kuwait to check out the daily/weekly reports for back in January 2003 when Kuwait switched and pegged to the US and became the worlds highest valued currency...

I found that there were no reports between December 29, 2002 and January 5, 2003 the day they switched and pegged to the US...

Okay since the news is about nil lately I did some snooping around. I went to the Trade Bank Of Iraq's website and copied the below information. This confirms that the IQD has not been traded since 10/16/06 for those who still question the trading issue. Also notice that the USD is 1470.000 which we already knew but notice that it is an even 1470.000 maybe something, maybe nothing.

And dont forget the printing press..... No kidding... they actually had cylinders with the lettering inscribed and then when they would roll the cylinder on clay tablets it would be like a modern print paper.
