First of all, thanks for the link to the .iq site. I didn't know they have been implemented. I have been on that site many times and never noticed the extension.

Adster, I know that many don't put a lot of stock in Dr. Qaddouri, but from day one he has been saying a slow increase. He came out on one of his last calls and said .01. I know that this doesn't sit well with many, nor does .06 cents (which I saw Neno get upset and threaten to ban based on that the other day)... However, when we first got involved in this, a penny would have been GREAT!!! In fact I think you and I even spoke at one time about this last year. Now with all the talk of $1.47 and such, we have all gotten spoiled, me too. But it would make more sense as a country (or even a business) to open low and move up from there.

Do we think .01? Not any more, we are leaning closer to the .06 cents, however, we have ALWAYS heard .32 cents, and if you figure that’s what the TRUE rate was when we invaded, then it should have stayed there. Who gave us the right to devalue their currency in the first place?

But within our office you will find .06 - $1.47… There are too many good arguments to support each side.

I think (personally) that they should open at what they closed at. If they want to open higher (because of all the paid debt and the newly found oil) then who am I to stop them?

    Dan

Kurdistan parliament demands higher salaries for social workers, psychiatrists
    By Amanj Khalil
Sulaymaniya, Oct 17, (VOI) – Kurdistan parliament sent a memorandum to the local government of the autonomous Iraqi northern province on Tuesday urging a salary rise for members of Kurdistan society for social workers and psychiatrists, a legislator said.
The memorandum was handed over to the government after the parliament “approved the demands last week,” parliamentarian Suzan Shehab told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
“Kurdistan parliament demands raising the salaries of social workers and psychiatrists society by 50%,” said the memorandum dated October 9 and received by VOI on Tuesday.
Last month, the society sent a memorandum to the parliament and provincial government threatening to stage a sit-in unless its demands for a higher pay were met.
