I don't think it will be big news everywhere. I also don't think it will be brought as a revalue but something as "...their economy is started and we americans will see the benfits the next coming years".

It is not good as it would be brought as a big victory while so many american soldiers and innocent people have died.

I think quiet news and move on!

I have been finding these news clips but are they true?? I thought I heard it was a rumor from the media. Can someone comfirm for me? Also if it is true how will this effect any voting?

Kurdish lawmaker killed
In northern Baghdad Friday morning, a bomb planted near a generator that provides electricity to houses in Qahira detonated, wounding eight civilians, police said.

Police also found the bullet-riddled bodies of a Kurdish member of parliament and his driver on the streets of a Sunni neighborhood in northern Baghdad Thursday evening, according to a fellow Iraqi parliament member.

Mohammed Ridha Mahmoud was the lone representative of the Jamat Islamia Kurdish party, or Islamic Group party, in the assembly, and the first member of the new Iraqi parliament to be killed, said Firyad Rawndouzi.Both Mahmoud and his driver had gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

The two had been kidnapped hours earlier from Seleikh in northeastern Baghdad after Mahmoud went to a Sunni endowment office for a meeting, said Rawndouzi, who also serves as spokesman for the Kurdish bloc.

I feel that it should be before or at least with it. Otherwise what prevents other countries or large corporations from going in and buying them up.

I think a RV before it is passed or at the same time but it also depends when the FIL will be enacted.

I cannot understand if there wouldn't be a RV. If they don't have a good exchange rate after the implementation of the FIL and foreign investors come in then the Iraqi people will make Iraq like a hell and then I think all of the Iraqi people.

It would mean that they are poor now and also poor then while the rest of the world is stealing their oil.

IMHO: Makes alot more sense for the R/V to happen and then the FIL, or even simultaneously. If they announce the FIL and no R/V, then ROL club dinar holders can pool our millions of dinars and buy an oil field, I guess.

I agree with all that say a r/v must come before or with the FIL. Does anyone know the time frame that the FIL will become enacted? Does this happen right away or is there a waiting period? My thoughts are that if there is a waiting period, there is still time for an r/v and may not be done before the signing before it goes into effect.

But it does make perfect sense to me that it will be done before they hand out the 10,000 dinars.
