    Iraq aims to increase oil production of 300 thousand barrels per day by the end 2010

    Presidents Talabani and Ahmadinejad hold press conference

    Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad on Saturday, Feb. 28, held a joint press conference at the Presidency office in Tehran.

    The Iranian President said: “Once more, I welcome my dear brother President Jalal Talabani in his second home, the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

    He said that the Iranian- Iraqi relations are excellent and are deep -rooted in history.

    He added “We are always with each other through thick and thin, in the present day the peoples of the two countries and two governments are determined to take advantage of their full potential capabilities in order to consolidate their relations.”

    President Ahmadinejad referred to the importance of his visit to Iraq last year at the invitation of President Talabani stressing that the existence of independent and developed Iraq and Iran of power and effectiveness is in the interest of both countries and the region’s people.

    He reiterated that President Talabani’s visit is excellent and fruitful, he added “During this visit we were able to exchange views on bilateral relations and regional and international issues, as the two countries decided to consolidate the cultural and industrial relations between them to the desired level as rapidly as possible, as well as in other sectors such as industry, education, science and modern technology and political issues.”
