I contacted one of the committee members and he informed me that the FIL and its clauses will be enacted in April and once implemented we will make the needed arrangements for transferring stock ownership and I will keep you updated accordingly posting the details in the Forum. For the time being it remains two trading sessions a week and perhaps when the ISX goes electronic around May there might be a further increase in the number of trading sessions held per week. I don’t think it will reach 10 trading sessions a week because we only have 5 working days in a week.

My department has organized the stock portfolio of each client and arranged our stock certificates such that transfer of stock ownership will be completed swiftly, successfully within a minimum time frame. Everything is very well intact and we have been preparing our working procedures accordingly and our clients will be delighted of the high quality performance.

I appreciate your kind words in the Forum and my number priority is to serve the best interest of our foreign investors who represent the back bone of our enterprise and its continuous success.

I thought that date when they publish it in the Gazette is the date when the law becomes active. I might have had it wrong?? Bad, bad girl!!!

Are we still thinking that if the F.I.L. is to be enacted next month and the HCL imminent that if they dont revalue before then that it would somewhat foolish as the country would be bought up for peanuts.
