Though I run to the battle, the victory is the Lords! In prayer tonight I felt lead to prepare a victory testimony before I go to bed.
1 Chronicles 29:11 Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
Praise the name of Jesus!

In the new covenant God did his part, then robed Himself in flesh and did man’s part too.

Doc,
Connected or not...Maybe your victory parade is awaiting....
Local residents in some neighborhoods in the capital Baghdad woke up on Tuesday morning to find Iraqi flags hung on lamp posts, house roofs and traffic lights.
"The flags were hoisted by NGOs in several places in Baghdad," the media official from the Nissan 9 municipal council told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
Majid Soliman said, " NGOs put Iraqi flags in place of the colored ones indicating religious occasions, in a show of national unity and to renounce sectarianism."
On the timing of this step, Soliman said it "coincided with the circumstances Iraq is going through and the Fardh al-Qanoon security plan and also to emphasize that we're working for one Iraq that has no place for sectarian sentiments."
the band is ready...anytime you are Doc....

I wish you are right, Dave...
I used to be a christian - I was born in a missionary family and grew up in Pentecostal church. My parents have changed church to another congregation (don't know the English word, but we call them "faith congregations" ) They have contact with a big church in Tulsa, may be you know what I mean?
Anyway, they are members there now, and even though I don't consider myself a christian anymore (I guess it was too strict when I grew up, to many "dos" and "don'ts") I still believe. All my children were blessed in my parents church when they were babies, and now they are all going to that church! In spite of me never having made them do it - or may be exactly BECAUSE of that!
Anyway, I still believe in God and Jesus, and I have an utmost respect for prophesies etc. Having grown up in Africa I have simply seen and heard too much to not believe. However...how can you be so sure?!?
I guess I am still a "pentecostal" deep inside...because the reason my parents changed church was that the new one is more "vivid" - it actually ACTS on the words of the bible. In the pentecostal church here, it's more like they believe that God can do miracles etc..."but may be he doesn't feel like it today..." while in the new church it is more like "well, it SAYS in the bible that God will do miracles, so let's pray AND IT WILL HAPPEN" No doubts about it... I wish I could be like that - no doubts - but I can't. I keep doubting until I see it...and I also believe that THAT is the reason things don't happen for me...because I have too little faith...
Anyway, just tell me how you can be so SURE???
Love,
Karin

Hi KarinC... bless you for what you feel and truly wish to believe in... that matters most these days as it is with the current evolution, both for survival and believing Redemption is what saves your soul, you go through the living lights of todays world and your sanity is guided by the current events to feel cherished and worthy as a dignified human being to rise up another day feeling.... YOU MADE IT because you did what you have to do yesterday or some weeks back... subject to your planned agenda and that also includes that no insane amok or delirious & mean maniac runs you over with a 5-Hp 12-speed lawn mower or tractor....
These days, one can read and quote the scriptures to another and still stay afloat, with eyes wide spread but the bottomline is, what you read & quote.... ARE YOU actually preaching and carrying it out accordingly...script for script and expect others to believe you are exemplary by it so a gathering follows your unique conduct and for being instrumental to a new faith in healing?
What matters most is left between YOU & GOD deep within your genuine faith and belief and no one can come between that faith, it does not have to be visible either... your principles you live by and maintained are just a surface reflection of your true self and belief. Deep down, there lies more than meets the eye and that, my dear and to all on pious beliefs of whatever religion one wishes to follow, is just how one conducts an everyday life and livelihood.
All the scriptures the Holy Bible preaches and upholds is still a matter left with the individual who can, or cannot, exercise and conduct the virtues as given, is a result of ever changing norms and events that evolves day in, year out for the last several centuries after Christ... as far as the Christians are concerned here.
I see a true believer as one who will stand in harms way just to defend one's belief in freedom and justice and equality and nothing stands in between to change or alter that course, not even one's man made interpretation of any holy scriptures can change that! Die if you will to defend and die just for being a true believer... no perching on the fence and guessing how the weather will change for a better day....!
Thus, in today's world, events of all kinds and the nature that determines every action you are to make or force to take, is based on just how you want to uphold a worthy life.... while you still have the sanity to judge a life worthy to sustain and not just to please another...based on his quotes or references made from a Holy text.
You can do that for yourself these days, just go buy an Ipod and save the volumes of pages and play it back hearing it all drone down into your mind while you do your gardening, take that long drive across the city limits or while horse riding too...or meditating on yr WC, whichever suits your comfy butt.
You make your life as sanctified as can be.... you don't need me nor anyone to make you wise on that path that eventually decides when your time arrives or be the lucky one in town or neighborhood to "kick the bucket", do you?
A rich and fulfilled Christian or Muslim or Buddhist to Hindu or Jew... are all equal and blessed with GRACE once they start respecting to avoid hauling another to one's faith or believe and pursue the path instead in respecting another man's born ideals and destinity...even if he is born wicked, just stay out of his/her way and leave them be....nature will take care of them the natural way!
YB. ... I'm just another sinner but making the most to accomodate everyone peacefully to a meaningful life instead on this planet...by the grace of Our Lord.Cheers!!!

Have we all found the kingdom?
Matt 6:33
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Hi Karin,
Before I answer your question I want to say what a wonderful testimony you have. Born in a missionary family, growing up in Africa seeing and hearing what the Lord is doing right out on the front lines of the battle field. Wow, what a strong spiritual heritage!
I can understand getting burnt out, I think we all fight that battle from time to time. But you say that you do still believe in Jesus, praise God, that’s all it takes to turn it around. Just repent of you past sins and ask the Lord to take charge of your life again. Start where you are right now in your home, you don’t need to go to Church to build a strong, passionate relationship with the Lord. As a truth, going to Church is great but it won’t build you a strong relationship with the Lord. Truly, the Lord will lead you and give you the answers to your insurmountable questions. I perceive that you’ve wrestled with these questions for many years to the point that they paralyzed your actions years ago. Stop trying to figure it out on your own, turn back to the Lord and lay those questions at His feet and let Him show you the answers.
Praise God your children are serving the Lord, that’s an awesome testimony of God’s grace, mercy and undying love.
Why I feel so certain? Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I believe that the Lord birthed this thing in my spirit and He will bring it to pass. I try to spend at least 2 hours a day alone with the Lord and it is when I’m in His presence that I feel the most certain.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful testimony Karin, I’m praying for you sister.

Interesting perspective on life YB.
I too believe that God made man to have a free will. He wonderfully made us so we can choose and decide what we believe, what we do and who or what we want to call our god… or to have no god at all if we choose.
And I believe that a good man or woman can have a good life on this earth simply by being a good person. Proverbs 12:2 A good man obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a crafty man. It is God’s law of sowing and reaping.
I don’t know about others, but the reason I quote God’s Word is to explain why I believe the way I do, not to beat anyone down with it, God forbid. I know it has been done a lot and it is wrong. No one has to believe as I do, but I believe that the whole Bible is the infallible Word of God, written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. True, some things in the Bible are open to interpretation but most things are very clear and precise.
For example, John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
There’s no two ways to interpret that one and it doesn’t matter if we as humans like it or not. Does anyone have to believe it? No. But I am a Christian and I believe.
Should I hate someone and throw rocks at them because they don’t believe? No.
Luke 10:25-37 says:
25. One day an authority on the law stood up to put Jesus to the test. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to receive eternal life?"
26. "What is written in the Law?" Jesus replied. "How do you understand it?"
27. He answered, " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your strength and with all your mind.'—(Deuteronomy 6:5) And, 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' "—(Leviticus 19:18)
28. "You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do that, and you will live."
29. But the man wanted to make himself look good. So he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"
30. Jesus replied, "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho. Robbers attacked him. They stripped off his clothes and beat him. Then they went away, leaving him almost dead.
31. A priest happened to be going down that same road. When he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
32. A Levite also came by. When he saw the man, he passed by on the other side too.
33. But a Samaritan came to the place where the man was. When he saw the man, he felt sorry for him.
34. He went to him, poured olive oil and wine on his wounds and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey. He took him to an inn and took care of him.
35. The next day he took out two silver coins. He gave them to the owner of the inn. 'Take care of him,' he said. 'When I return, I will pay you back for any extra expense you may have.'
36. "Which of the three do you think was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by robbers?"
37. The authority on the law replied, "The one who felt sorry for him."
Jesus told him, "Go and do as he did."
Who is my neighbor? Everyone.
So, my job as a Christian is to love the Lord with all of my heart, soul, mind and strength and to love all of God’s creation as myself. Speak the truth concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ and leave the judging to the Lord on judgment day.
God bless you Yogi, you are a good fella!
