Pension Plans really do exist and are a good idea, except this is not real.

Not on Petaling Street but you're not too far off. One account used for wire transfers was "SOCIETE GENERALE DE GESTION S.A." Take a look at the web site associated with this name - http://societegeneralewatchtrade.com

    Now that's funny!

Although the price of my fake (and extremely good) Rolex from KL was less than the cost of a GPP membership...

Sometime back, LynnRE gave a good account on just about how incredible it would take to run and oversee all the sign ups in their hundreds & THOUSANDS with a supposedly "capable & comp e t e n t" one-man show.... and yet, there are those who still cannot fathom that impossible task and continues to believe sheer lip service through the Internet and with no transparent details of one such stellar-size operator called Stella...

Here is one good example to show you just what is necessary to build up and taking more than one humanoid to uphold integrity towards a transparent, legit company... go read and get wise sooner ...

So how do you sell 150,000 items in two years on eBay? Well, without giving away too many secrets, here's our story…

We started buying items on eBay in December 2002 under the ID BlueJamGem, but it was not until August 2004 that we decided to try selling. We were immediately hooked and selling anything we could get our hands on! As they say "One person's trash is another's treasure," and having sold almost everything except the kitchen sink, we decided to buy to sell.

As it was just before Christmas 2004, we chose items we thought that everyone would be after. This year it was the P l a y s tation 2 and, having recently sold our own PS2 on eBay, we knew that we could get a good price. We would bid for and buy a complete package including a c o n s o l e, controllers, memory cards and games, and sell them on separately. We were hoping to sell the c o n s o l e for the same amount we bought the entire package for by increasing relevant search terms, and using better designed listings and targeted ending times.

We continued doing this for a few months and quickly found that the memory cards made the best profit when sold alone, and so BuyMemoryCards was born.

Our first bulk buy was for 15 P l a y s tation 2 64mb memory cards. A week later all were sold! Naturally, we purchased some more and sold them on. We soon decided to branch out and sell other types of memory cards, and began contacting different suppliers for bulk purchases, selling items on at a fraction of the price of High Street stores. One of the advantages of eBay is that you can have a successful business growing in your spare bedroom. You don't need a flashy store or a prime location - all your customers are brought directly to you by eBay.

Just over a year later, with our orders increasing constantly, we decided to leave our "day" jobs and focus on BuyMemoryCards. The business had now outgrown our home and so we decided to take a step further and move the business into offices. As we now had more room to hold stock, we were able to concentrate on increasing sales, which is made easier by using Selling Manager Pro, which enables us to schedule listings on a regular basis, to start and end at the time we feel best.

Months later, we now have our own website, six employees and an effective system in place to deal with the growing number of sales. We have dedicated customer service staff, who deal with around 400 emails and telephone calls a day, helping our customers to decide which product they need and achieve a quick and easy transaction. We generally respond to emails via eBay's message service as we find that many people prefer this method, as it is safe and ensures that the message will reach the correct email address. We know from buying on eBay that you want to receive your purchase as quickly as possible after purchasing, and so ship our items immediately upon receipt of payment.

Many of our customers return to us on a regular basis and add us to their "Favorite Sellers", which is a great complement. We try to resolve any issues that arise, and are proud of our feedback which has increased rapidly and yet maintained a high standard.

However, running an eBay business is far from easy - we face constant pressures ranging from customer satisfaction to monitoring competitors prices. We also have to ensure that we order enough stock from our suppliers at the lowest possible price, and that it reaches us quickly. With the memory card market being so volatile the costs of items change on a daily basis. We need to try and buy when the price is at its lowest so that we can offer our customers the best price. We have good relationships with our suppliers, who we chat with on a daily basis in order to get the best prices, and source new products.

In September '07 we were invited to eBay's Backstage Party, where we had the opportunity to speak with eBay staff, the PayPal team and other eBayers; take a look at the changes eBay are hoping to make in future; and witness some eBayers receiving awards for their performance on eBay. We were awarded "eBayer of the Year 2007" which the whole team is rightly proud of. It is always nice to be recognized for your efforts and I can tell you know we look forward to doing our best to keep the crown next year!
