cheers doohan, as its hard to find free resources, currently learning things the old fashioned way with books and trial and effort. Currently on target to make approx 200% in first months trading.

I am also writing a program to test trading strategies and back testing against old data. If anyone has good technical analyses or wants me to try out certain strategies, or is a good programmer and interested in such a project, let me know. My plan is to have my bot running full time giving recommendations on entry/exit points.

It's true it's not easy to find free resources, and it's why I decided to share the ones I found on a french forum.

I'm computer scientist, but I don't have time to help you, sorry.

Your plan is cool, but very difficult to achieve !

I read many testimonials from french traders who claims it's very difficult to make more than 40% a year with a capital of 100,000$. I can't comment, because I'm beginner.

I have read all the books now - all i can say is WOW :D :D 8)

These would cost you a lot of money off the shelf. I already paid for one book that was ok but cost me $100. The ultimate guide is particularly succinct and direct, and if you only read one, that would be the one.

Based on my first months trading and assuming all goes as planned for the next 3 months (i am starting to use real money instead of toy money in the next couple of weeks once i master this new platform), I am planning on changing career and turning professional forex trader along with a partner in 3-6 months time! Mean lots more time to spend with my new baby. So it's all good. Pips funding a nice fat account for me would be the icing on the cake, but hey for all you mega-depressant types out there; remember, there IS a cake, which you can have and eat if you are motivated to make things better for yourself. I am much more excited about forex than pips - even if pips pay out!

Please keep us informed how you get on pablo. When P**s pays out I'd like to get involved in this with the free time on my hands, ie after quitting the office job. As well as overseas properties and other investment/plans.
