I have some great friends that are liberal Democrats. Even my grandparents were hard line Democrats but they could come at you with good sound arguments backed with solid facts that were not smoking mirrors or distortions of the facts.

If you don’t like my views about liberal Democrats you sure won’t like my views about right wing Republicans! It will be years after the man retires from the oval office before we will have a true picture of his term in office. Most people have a different view of Nixon today than they had just after Watergate.

Unsound and stupid statements can’t save you rather you are a Republican or Democrat!

AMEN Desertwolf...the only reason i said what i said is because most of your replys have a political anti democrat tone to them....nothing more...I myself am what i think would be called a BLUEDOG...I am a registered DEmocrat but i vote on what I believe in or what I believe is right...not PARTY affiliated when it comes to voting....which IMHO is what is wrong with America today....way toooooo many people vote Party instead of what is right....or wrong.....most of your post carry a lot of credentials and i like them.....just a difference of opinion every once in a while.....most times i agree with what you are saying....its good to have a different opinion, and we can discuss it like human beings without name calling.....please keep posting.....if i don't agree,i will tell you......lol....by the way...ex Vietnam vet here......Peace.........Pat

The facts remain etched in the stone of history. IMHO, NO amount of facts will ever suffice to feed your anger. So build a bridge and get over it. I’m not here to wipe your nose and give you that warm touchy feeling. I had my chance and missed it, but NOT this time around!

Actually, the first Gulf War has never ended. There was never a bill signed off on to end it. Desert Storm started in Jan 91, Desert Shield started 90. I just don't remember exactly when. But then again, there are a lot of things from around then I try not to remember.

Troops Take a Gamble on Iraqi Dinars

BAGHDAD — In drawers and footlockers, servicemembers in Iraq are banking on the future by hoarding millions of Iraq’s year- old currency, the dinar.

Many suspect the dinar’s precipitous drop in the past decade could mean a huge rebound ahead. Each dinar was once worth a few dollars; they’re now worth a fraction of a penny apiece.

If post-war Kuwait is any example, they might be right: A Kuwaiti dinar was valued at a about a dime after the war. Each now brings in $3.40.

thats me, bought mine in diwaniyah.

This is nothing but an opinion piece for one. Secondly i was never official on record of the drop. It may be true that the market rate on the street was ok 10 cents... well ok the bank rates never droped. So what your saying is if I was there and picked up KWD for 10 cent on the dollar I could fly say to jordon the same day and cash in for over 3$ cause thats what the interbank rate was. I dunno it just dosent make sense cause everyone would be doing it... it could be a posibilty...but for this joker to say it was at $8 at one point is a joke seriously.
