ok.. so if i say the reval will be thursday. i have to tell you that my ex wifes cousins husband, who is in IRAQ, told her this?.............even tho its a rumor????? or do i need a link that shows it was stated somewhere else.. and still nobody knows for sure if it is true.......so why even post anything, even tho it was written. how will we know if it is a rumor or fact, untill after the date passes ? !!! if everything we post has to be backed up then there will not be any rumors !!!!!!

There are rumors. Internet is full of them. Backed up with source's for your rumors, links, proofs, pictures, documents, recordings etc etc.. Anything to backup your rumor!..

This will be the end of the rumour section. It isn't really possible to find a link for a rumour - it's a contradiction in terms.

I don't see a problem with the rumour section - why can't obvious made up nonsense rumours just be deleted.

One can usually distinguish between someone passing on information that they genuinely heard and someone just bored and passing through, or just plain ludicrous made up stuff.

But its not that hard. If you heard something, dont post it hear. If you have some kind of a proof, please do post... A source of your info has to be provided! period!... Otherwise it leads all sides to clash here with each other.

Well I just think that communication is the life blood of forums. What you are suggesting is that this becomes a news only forum - that would take away communication pretty much. Have you seen how quiet the 'news section' is. There are not many comments in there.

Also - just a note - 'iif' does not have to have a link in their rumour section. There is a rumour over there as I type with no link. I have yet to see a rumour over there with a link.

The 'really'? question - means that I wasn't aware that the internet is flooded with rumours re the dinar with links - I wasn't aware that there are any.

I was not saying internet was full of dinar rumor with links. I was generalizing, and talking about a rumors itself. I will reconsider a link in your post on rumor section again. Let me have a few days please..

After lots of thinking, and lots of discussion with several members, i have decided to remove the "some sort of proof for the rumor section"...
