I know we lost alot of poster after certain people left, yet it seems that nobody has any info on the reval of the dinar. Am I to believe that all the prior posts were by the "pumpers and dumpers" lets have a little chatter out there, its real depressing to logon everynight after work and see that I am the only one in the forum. Lets see some new threads soon. Take the best of care.

Sad, but true benzboy...

In the wake of the Rumor-Mongers, there is little knowledge as to when the Dinar will "Reval".

The word Reval itself was created to make the public believe that the Iraqi Dinar will suddenly increase in value from very very low to very very high.

In the realm of International Curency it's best to listen to the experts. They all agree that the Iraqi Dinar is a currency worth having, and the track record has proven to show a 16% increase in value so far.

The notion of a sudden and extreme "Revaluation" of the Iraqi Dinar may still occur, but the general consensus among analysts is that the security of the country must occur and remain stable for quite some time before the Iraqi Government can ratchet up the value of the Iraqi Dinar.

So there you have it. No rumors because the rumor well has run dry. All of the predicted dates and events have come to pass. Except of course the passing of the HCL, which has been continuously being deferred and delayed for months now....

If there's any hope of a sudden reval, the last straw to grasp is the passing of the HCL.

Di Nar tell ya wayyy back.... which most "followers" preferred to snub, avoid & ignore...and went mainly for the rumor-blasting news spurted out from the short end of the barrel???

Security is the only guarantee to set things reasonably straight...even a battered Iraqi with no more rice or grain left on his plate has still some sense left to admit the only way out and up is when they become civil again with respect for a peaceful livelihood affecting all Iraqis....Iraq is nowhere close to achieving just that as yet!!

Support stern security measures... and the pace to that RV Day will creep in slowly and surely towards a realistic date....

It may be a play on words, but as I understand
it, the reval has already begun. What we are waiting
on is the "PEG".

Been in this over 2 years and expected it to peg way
back when. My strategy is to tell as many as I can,
buy more stocks in the ISX, and acquire more Dinar
and Dong.

I truly believe that it does exist and will happen. Maliki stated that 2007 will be the year for security and 2008 will start to work on the economy. that being said I have also read that the oil ministry will not wait much longer to start signing oil contracts even if the HCL is not passed as they have the old laws about oil contracts on the books and can use them. Also If Iraq is to rebuild its country they are going to have to import much of the materials to do this and they cannot do that with there current money values. So I do believe that it will happen.

Look on the bright side, eventually you might be able to wallpaper your bathroom with your dinar and save a couple of bucks.

The word "Peg" was the original word of choice when talking about the Iraqi Dinar's potential.

When I got on board 2 years ago, it was in the hopes that the Dinar would "Peg" itself to a basket of oil, gold and cash reserves. The theory back then was that Iraq could sustain a $.31 value. Meaning 1 dinar would equal $.31 (not the other way around is what the rumor mongers had twisted it into). So if you had $1Million DINAR it would be worth $310,000 USD.

And this was to happen within the next 5-10 years.

Lots of time for that scenario to take shape.

I for one must say that I miss the rumours, even though I haven't taken them seriously for a long time. Okay, the first time we were told that it was already a done deal (more than a year ago now) I believed it was true, and I really got excited. But then prediction after prediction failed, so I just took them for what they were: pure entertainment, fun. Every evening when I logged in to RolClub I said to my husband: "Now let's check when the Dinar is going to reval THIS TIME... aaaah - it's the coming weekend (or it's on Monday or whatever was the date)!" Or any time a website didn't load we would say: "This MUST mean that the reval is going to happen!" And then we'd both laugh!!!

I still believe that the Dinar is a good investment that is going to pay out some day. It may not make me rich, but I am counting on a nice little profit. But this is going to happen when it happens, and I don't really mind how long it takes.
