$3.45 per 1 dinar. Then of course you'll have to subtract the taxes, I think it's 15% for LTCG and 28% for STCG.

LTCG = Long Term Capital Gain and STCG = Short Term Capital Gain

Will we have to pay on both or just one or the other? Is there any way around this?

You'll pay either or. LTCG if you've held your dinar one day past a year and STCG is up to 365 days. Not sure if any of the ways around it are legal, but you can look into protecting what remains by contacting a good tax attorney.

How then does this apply to the "No Penalties to foriegn investors" that was passed by Bush, if I am correct?

That you would have to ask of someone in the know, I have yet to talk to a tax attorney, but I have a friends whose uncle is one and we will sit dwon in the very near future to discuss it. If you're right than I will probably need a cardiologist.

Uncle Sam made this investment possible for you. I myself lost a buddy over there. For the sake of his memory and the many others who lost their lives in this, would you mind at least giving Uncle Sam his due?

I don't mind at all giving Uncle Sam what is due. I am trying to find out what is due. My husband was over there. My nephew is over there and of course many of my friends are over there and have been. I know alot of people over there being as I live in a military town. I have felt this just like many others in this country. What I am trying to understand is the Presidental Order 13303.
