using the Lord's name in vain is not limited to swearing.

it is also accomplished by using it to gain popularity contests.

to further ones own vanity.

this is exactly what people are doing in here. unwittingly.

lol i just dont get it, to cramm it down your throat we would have to force you to be here and make you read it!

you cram it down people's throats when you type in HUGE BLOCK LETTERS and say things like "this is God's word and if you go against it, you go against God"

I don't mind talking about religion, but I don't like it when it's grossly misrepresented and I hate it when people disrespect the Bible especially in public.

I also refuse to discuss religion with closed minded right wing hyporcrites who think they know the bible.

Like I said, it is a very old and holy book and should not be misquoted or disrespected.

You want to do this right then you open a religion thread and make sure you post which translation of the bible you are quoting.

Everyone needs to calm down. If you agree with DocDave then a thanks is appropriate. If you do not agree then a basic statement of such is appropriate. If you want to argue about beliefs and religion IT IS NOT APPROPRIATE!!! Please try to be civil and don't chime in just to stir up trouble... If you are a religious person and someone says something you do not agree with do not try to educate them on the open forum, please take it to pm. if you are not religious and disagree with someones statement I ask that you do the same. This thread was not started to debate religion only to find out how much credence you give DocDaves posts....

Not man's word, but God's. If an issue is had concerning the words in this particular post, you must take them up with God. I for one happen to take the Word of God for what it is, like it or not, absolute truth.
