I am trying to find out the name of the person I talked to.

I don't know how much time I am willing to waste on this, though as someone else already posted that in Lousiana they are still selling Dinar at their Chase branch and when I called again (the number above not the merrifield one) this morning they said they handle mostly mortgages in this area. The person we spoke with yesterday was very knowledgable (and nice) but today someone else answered the phone that didn't want to give up any info.

If I get ahold of that person again I will post it.

*note if you are skeptical or think I am lying for whatever reason, then just ignore this post. I am going to post any information I get as it comes to me regardless of what you think.
Mods, delete the phone number - no bank needs hundreds of people calling to ask themthe same question.
A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face... then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"
A little fellow shouted, "Cause your feet ain't empty."

I asked if she knew who their supplier was (I asked if it was JP Morgan) and she said she honestly didn't know who they got their foreign currency from. Then she recommended I try the foreign exchange at the Minneapolis/St.Paul International Airport.

So far striking out her in Minnesota (through the banks anyways).

I'll see about the airport call next....

I'm certain they have a stash reserved for themselves. Make a profit on what you are willing to sell beyond your personal stash. Each seller keeps plenty for themselves, you can be sure of that.

I agree that eBay is a good Psuedo-Forex however....when that dries up, Look Out!

I have never followed up a rumor before but this one looked interesting. I decided to call the bank # and ask about the Dinar. I sopke with a young lady and she stated they are having a hard time getting it. I asked did she know of any other chase banks that were selling it and she said no. I asked her if she could check at any other bank selling it and she didn't know. So i called back and said I wanted to open an account but it was just to purchase currency because I was headed out of the country. I'm on hold right now...

Banks are businesses and phone calls are fielded every day. That's their job. Answer the phone, answer questions, hopefully generate business.

I for one appreciate the opportunity to do some research and having the phone number to a branch in Virginia was very helpful.

Banks are multi-billion dollar institutions and a flood of phone calls should mean nothing to them. All in a days work.

    Thank you.

20,000 calls to a single bank branch is a very big deal. Giving out phone numbers on a public forum seems inappropriate. Guess we all have our own perspectives.
