I did go there and read this..Makes it sound like we are spinning our wheels and I AM A STRONG BELIEVER IN THE DINARS.. so somebody tell me what this means to us..
Where is our SGS and NENO...Is this just their smoke screen to get us to get off the wagon so they can get on or what??

that warning has always been there. its because investment in currencies is very high risk and all investment councellors will suggest you not do it as they stick with secure investments.

Do NOT be put off by that bit of fluff on XE.com. It has been there forever, and has no baring on reality.
A quick response to their problems with the IQD:

• Over a decade of international economic sanctions and a devastating war has left the infrastructure in tatter

Billions upon billions of USD invested, 10 billion just this year. Infrastructure rebuild will create huge job market in Iraq to kick start economy.

• $125 billion of external debt

80% or better of the foriegn debt of Iraq now forgiven as per Paris Agreement et al, IMF and WB support from day one.

• Millions of dollars in post-war debt

Nope. Just an outstanding debt issue with Kuwait that is still being negotiated.

• No stable government

Getting there.

• Insurgency steadily on the rise

Surge, economic plan to reduce povrty and therfor insurgebcy

• Oil facilities and pipelines are sabotaged regularly

Wait until BP and Shell control the oil lines after the HCL is signed. I think you will find insurgents are going to have a hard time getting past Big Oil security forces.

• Many predict out-and-out civil war, such as the former Prime Minister of Iraq and the outgoing UK abmassador in Baghdad

If you can not spell AMBASSADOR while trying to sound like an authority I'd say ya got a problem.

My very first post here in this section of Rolclub, was a link to that site. Guess what? I got a real royal Bashing for that one. No Joke. Back in the History Thread, the first one. Around the 90 pages.

I never have visited that site again.

This could be it. No other screen on that xe page contains these numbers, wonder why the discrepancy.

Hey, I've been lurking on this site for quite some time and for once feel I can offer something! lol! I think the area we have posted is probably in major error just for the fact it lists the US rate at 1475. That was the rate it stayed steady at prior to November. If you go to this link on the site XE.com - Interactive Currency Table and enter in IQD to convert it appears to give the more correct rate for the US dollar at 1275 and the other currencies appear to be correct. We're probably on the wrong site looking for clues for an RV. We probably have better info than they do!

Hmm, I will be coating my garage floor this weekend with an epoxy flooring compound, so I guess with all of the good news I can open the garage door now to keep from expiring from the fumes..... Oops, wait a minute I'm not Ozizoz.
