You have nothing to be sorry for. The way I see it, you heard some information and you passed it along. At the time you heard it, you probably had no reason to believe it to change, or be anything but completely accurate. I do not know a single person who has never been wrong in their lifetime. The only thing that sets us all apart from each other is how we deal with things when we've been shown that we were wrong.

Heck, I was wrong recently - Not about the dinar, but about something I heard in my company. I heard a rumor (along with about 100-200 other folks here) that our company was poised to be bought out by a larger global company. For three weeks, that rumor ran rampant - Why? Because no one said anything to the contrary, and so therefore, we all believed that it was a real possibility. So finally, three weeks later, our CEO told us it was not true, and corrected us. But imagine those three weeks before we heard from our CEO. Everything we knew told us this was not only a possibility, but rather, a likely inevitability. And so the rumors flew.

The dinar is no different in terms of the rumors. The only thing different is the emotional attachment that some aren't able to check at the door, and honestly, you can't expect people to check their emotions at the door. This is money, after all. But at the core, it's the same thing that was experienced in my company.

But ultimately, as I said, you have nothing to apologize for. Don't be afraid to be wrong. No one should ever not post out of fear of being wrong. Nothing is ever set in stone until it happens... And even then, things can still change. Why should Iraq, or the Dinar be any different?

There are a few things that have been tugging at my last few brain cells since I started with this forum. I have purchased dinar from dealers online, I have never had any problems receiving my product, but I have picked up bits and pieces about folks purchasing their dinar from Chase Bank; can someone please clarify? Also, for those who have purchased from the bank are they storing your dinar at the bank or did you lay hands on it, bring it home with you, tried to wash that funk out of it and said forget it, I'll just leave it at the bank? Furthermore, I was so noid about having that around the house, I got a safety deposit box in the bank that I use, that is secured on an Air Force Base. Any thoughts?

go into any chase bank with cash, ask for iraqi dinar (iqd), give them the cash, they give you a reciept, they usually call you next business day when your dinar comes in via overnight, give them reciept, take your dinars, go home with them or put in safe deposit box, usually you will get circulated 25k notes from them

It seems that the state insists, or preserve the value of the Iraqi dinar 148 against the dollar ...Monetary value of the Iraqi dinar must revert to the previous level, or at least to acceptable levels as it is in the Iraqi neighboring states [ MOF Sept 2006]

    Default Dinar Rate

There has been talk of the dinar hitting it's old mark of $3.22, Do you believe it will get much higher than that?

I believe that in the coming years, with stability in Iraq, and economic development it has the potential of hitting $3.50 - $4.50 easily. I do feel that it is 2-3 years off though.
Look what happened in Kuwait, and they do not have half the potential of Iraq. But the key is getting the people of Iraq to work together for the common goal.

An oil tanker is seen in Basra this month. Iraq is nearing passage of a bill that would manage its vast oil wealth.

    Oops! There's that photo!
