As with the Kurds, what your going to tell me they are holding a committee to complain to Talabani just about the exchange rate??? Im sure they both have their differences but on this issue they have came upon an agreement. Lastly why would you not approve of $0.14 It's a huge step from where they were at. Hey as long as it gets the ball rolling I see no reason for anyone to complain, otherwise you are what i call greedy and selfish.

Also let me reiterate this is a RUMOR and I'm just passing along what I know.
I will take .14 with no problems. I do want much higher of a rate & if you want to call me greedy & selfish I couldn't care less. Now, it is my understanding that most countries that forgave Iraq's debt only dropped 80%, thats not 100% so they are not debt free like you said before.

Wow FHM..you are one of the few that I've ever seen that actually say it correctly. Most people on internet forums are too stupid to realize that when they say "I could care less" it means that it's possible to care less than they do.

Dunno about the Kurds, wait till Sunday/Monday and we 'll see...
King Abdullah promised to eliminate the debt but hasn't done so yet as far as I know. Kuwait's parliament was going to vote on six options for eliminating Iraq's debt but I haven't read any follow up on what, if anything, they decided.

I hope I'm wrong, and as you say, we'll see Monday.

What do you think will happen to their exchange rate once "the other countries cash in and call it a day"?

I think some misunderstood what I was Implying. I was simply talking to those who would be disappointed, and or upset that it didn't reach $1.00++. It was not a slam on you or Cha Ching. Trust me I'm the last guy who would do that. Best of luck!
The coming months are going to be VERY exciting!!!

I believe that Repurchase Agreements between the Countries, will limit tha amount of IQD repurchased per year by Iraq from the various Countries. I believe it will be spread over about ten years to prevent wholesale dumping..

I never hoped you were anything. I hoped your contact was wrong on the rate of .14 and on the CBI's requirements. If those were their requirements then it's not going on the market Monday. If he's wrong and all those requirements don't have to be met, then maybe he's right about Monday. I want him to be wrong on the rate because .14 won't be as good for me and my family nor will it be as beneficial for the Iraqi's purchasing power. BUT I'll take .14 over 1435 anyday!
