Yes, my 200x Dianar Bank notes just arrived (i.e. 13:50)...20 minutes ago!!! Not long to wait...how long does some of you have to wait......I hope not too long...

Being in Alaska we don't have to stay up all night for the information. When it gets posted it will be 11 pm here. Only thing about this we won't be able to sleep after words. Just the anticipation on trying to get to the bank will keep my round up tight. Any way got to get back to work. Got a boss that looks like this.

I'm amazed people are still selling Dinars with an announcement looming, it doesn't make sense.

Open Memo to all:

SGun's .93 Euro is currently approx. US$ 1.18345 . . . but she has been adding a + so it could be a little higher . . .

As to cashing in . . . Any US bank [I'm assuming you are in the USA], will fall all over themselves to get your business whether you know them / or they know you . . . or not . . .

But they can't exchange until the CBI [Central Bank of Iraq] posts the pegged re-valued exchange rate, and although SGUN says that's gonna happen on Sunday, we'll just have to wait and see . . .

Several others , including Adster under *cashing-in* page one, provides sound advise as to the steps you should take, & a bit of humor . . .

On the security side I definitely advise that you either scan / or photocopy your notes [cheap @ kinko's & you can afford it] . . . I think trying to list all the *odd* serial numbers on a bill of lading is a bit over the top . . .

One other thing . . . you will most likely have to let the bank send your notes off to be verified / that's why you should have copies . . . make sure you get them to give you a receipt, with the bank officers name, etc, on it . . .

Second other thing . . . shop around to several banks . . . a penny difference in their exchange rate on a Million is $10,000.00 . . .

Third other thing . . . a lot of people I know think that the Dinar will continue to appreciate & could get up to the Kuwaiti Dinar, @ US$3.45 . . . so you might want to consult an accountant, investor, etc. . . . Then there's the capital gains taxes . . . If you've held your notes less than a year the tax rate is approx. 35% / over a year 15% . . . so it may be a good idea not to cash in more than you need immediately . . .
