    Geddy and others, fyi...
'we do nothing' doesn't exist and if you do some research, you'll find at least a couple reports showing that (if you can believe what's been written on the forum) contrary to what I and many prefer (patience), there HAVE been plenty of people contacting BNM... from individuals to embassies... and probably lawyers as well.
But the info and effect of such inquiries just don't yield what those 'taking action' seem to expect... One *can* of course always think that one can do it better than others in the past... but I don't see why that would be the case...
Btw... BNM already sheduled a meeting with pipsters one of these days/weeks. Why not wait for that outcome first?

I'm happy to see that finally several members feel the same way and are ready to act.

I am ready to collect the money and take the necessary steps to locate and contact a Malaysian attorney to represent us.

The problem is that we should find a way to minimize the costs for collecting checks or money wires.

Twice a month I receive a US check for the sales of my e-book and actually my bank charges me 10 Euro per check. Btw I live in Brussels Belgium.

I discussed this with my bank and they agreed to charge me the same initial 10 Euro fee for several checks at once.

As the checks I receive are valid for 3 months, I wait till I have several ones and only pay 10 Euro for 4 or 5 checks, which lowers the cost per check between 2 - 2,5 euro.

In my case this is ok as the amounts are worth it, but receiving a $10 check and paying a 2 euro fee ($ 2,50) is way to high unless we receive that many so that the costs will be reduced to a few cents per check.

I think a money wire involves even more costs, so we'd better forget about that.

    Another alternative could be PayPal.

    Waiting for your feedback.

    People,

For the sake of all of us PIPS members. Please do not take any action at all. This will only prolong the investigation. I mean do not write, call or hire anyone to do anything. Please let them do their job and they will conclude this saga as as soon as they are done. Any legal action on our part with cause further delay. Once again we have all waited about a year now. Do not make us wait any longer because now we are impatient.

Did you tell your bank that these checks would be in various currencies from around the world and would only be $10/8 Euros each? My bank charges $50 for am international wire transfer so that is not practical. Paypal might be OK, although I am one of the few who have never bought or sold anything on E-Bay so I don't know much about it. You will have to give us your name & address so we can mail the checks to you. Will you put your name & address on this forum so it can be pasted all over the internet? You might want to think about all of the ramifications of doing this before you volunteer. If you did happen to find out that there is really not enough money in PIPs to buy breakfast for a hummingbird and reported that back, there are many of the cult members who will accuse you of just stealing their money. I personally believe that no significant amount of money will be found, but it would be nice to put this to rest.

Please let them do their work???

Sorry, waiting for over a year now has given them plenty of time to "do their work".

I've pressed on with other endeavors but, would still like to move on with this issue of getting SOMETHING! out of BNM/ BMN - whatever...

What is the price to hire this lawyer?

I think we need to put pressure on BNM. As none is putting pressure on them, this is nolonger an high priority case... An attorny speeds up the process by processing a case in the courthouse... This forces BNM to put an absolute priority on the PIPS case... It cant be a bad thing to do as we hereby will put pressure by law!!!

    I say, hire the lawyer!!!

    Well....
If that is the "speed" that BNM normally used to investigate a
case, no matter who is on their back, they will still use the same "speed".
If I am not wrong, there were a number of Embassies and Consulates that
act on behalf of their citizen, to seek the result of the investgation.

    Post Putting Pressure On BNM

Just wondering what type of pressure do you think can be applied to BNM? This is a government owned institution with the complete backing of Malaysia.

To be honest... I do not care that much anymore... I got plenty out of PIPS, and to day I have other business to handle... As it is very timeconsuming...

I was thinking a trial in court, were a lawyer can demand a speed up on the process and to demand regular statements to the members of PIPS, this can not be impossible. If we get this through, then we at least have more than what we have right now at this very moment :O
