"Hope fashion deal is making money, since Bistro was a loser,..........."

Digressing here but the realities are:

- High fashion like Baji can't make money in this day and age. The rag trade makes its money from mass market apparel sold at very affordable prices globally or at least in huge markets like the US. It needs a line like that. The other way is to get very famous, very quickly and then start franchising the name. Depending on the contractual agreement, either only the stores are franchised or it can go full out and get 'Baji' stuck on everything from chinaware to toothpaste. In any case, you won't get famous based in Malaysia. You need to be in cuttingedge fashion cities the likes of NY, London, Paris & Milan.

- Food & Beverage is always a "loser". In most businesses, you either sell a product or a service. In F&B, you'd need to do both for the price of one. Once again, franchising would be the way to go but before that stage is reached, you'd need to have standardisation in terms of food, looks and theme, make a name for yourself and then get professionally certified as in ISO 9000whatever....etc. In this case, the coffee window/booth and tandoori restaurant would be better launching pads. Labour - the bane of F&B operations would not have been a problem as Nilai International College has an excellent hospitality course twinned with a reputable Swiss hotel school. There would have been an ample flow of interns and later, tertiary trained personnel to groom into your style.
