Guys,
please remember that this conversation apparently took place a few weeks ago, when we all unofficially heard that the BON investigation was over. What you just read earlier was the translation. It's only today that the translation is being posted.
In any case, the lady at the sweden embassy(Monica Cederborg) is only relaying information she found out from BON. BON may have given her general information because it was an embassy that was calling, but no more than that. Whether it will take 2 months 3 months or much less is total speculation.
Even if it were to take 2 months we have already almost finished one month, right? After waiting for SOOO long, a month and a half will not kill us. Plus remember that even when the servers are returned, Bryan had stated that it would take some time to update the data and bring everything back to speed.
Yes, Bryan had mentioned that he had some good news coming about PIPS...well, maybe that good news will be that the state attorneys are about to return the servers. Again, we just don't know!
Most of us here have a very negative view of the justice system especially the american...so the words "district attorney" instill great fear, because we all know them to be "blood thirsty"! lol (most of the time that is!). Maybe it is not exactly the same thing in Malaysia...we just don't know!
Nevertheless, I would tend to aggree with New Life that it may just be normal procedure. However, attaching a positive or negative aspect to this will still result in premature speculation.
I doubt Bryan would be so confident to announce that the comeback will come in phases....1st Pips lotto (HA PIPS) and then the others accordingly, if he wasn't so sure of his move.
Bryan has extremely relevant information that we don't have and this what makes the WHOLE difference. I am sure if we knew what he knows but cannot share at the moment, we would be as confident as he is.
Personally, for my own mental sanity, I am expecting PIPS to be back in the next 6 months...anything that happens before will be a pleasant surprise. In the meantime I occupy myself and engage in several other activities. There is no use worrying and stressing over something that I cannot control!!
Happy New Year everyone!
Sir Charles

The fact that they are still possibly continuing the investigation, or at least stalling is not good no matter how you cut it. What investigative agency would do so unless they had good reason? Look at it from the perspective of these agencies. Would they want to leave themselves liable for damages they have caused tying up our business affairs for this length of time? Any agency that takes the servers, full knowing that these servers were the lifeline of that business, could be held accountable for damages. That is why I have mixed feelings. I want to be positive, but it just doesn't make sense. Maybe things are different in Malaysia. Imagine if this happened to Microsoft in the US. You can bet that the Feds would hurry their behinds to finish the investigation ASAP or they would suffer reprecussions from the multi billion dollar corporation if they were indeed innocent. Hopefully, it is lame and bogus information that spawned this thread anyhow. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best!

Whether or not anyone wants to admit it, this time, right now, is a very very significant and critical one. Why? because it has been so long, because there were many many expectations of the long anticipated comeback by Christmas, and because many members in one form of dire financial need or another have literally hit the proverbial wall. Generally in the USA investigations are turned over to the attorney general if prosecution is being contemplated. I don't know about Malaysia. My hope is that Bryan can and will provide some comfort. And as far as "bothering" Bryan about this goes, -- A. If he is the true professional we all know he is, then he realises the importance of keeping morale up during what has been extremely difficult times for all investors, and B. As much as he is able, we are entitled to a candid update, because he is being apprised of the situation as well.

Swedish Investigation
Can someone explain why the State Attorney's office in sweden would have anything to do with another investigation of Pips or are they now getting in line, each country to do their own investigation? If this is the case we've got a long time to wait.

Gator,
It is not the state attorney in Sweden that is investigating. It is apparently the district attorney in Malaysia...the swedish connection is because a swedish member called his embassy to find out what was happening.
It is only then that the SWEDISH EMBASSY stepped in to call BON and is now also offering to call the district attorney to find out more info.
There is no state attorney in Sweden investigating PIPS. I hope this answers your question.
