The dinar is not yet trading on the world markets. Remember the dinar is pegged with a small amount of flexibility either way, that's all you're seeing. We will all know once it's on the Forex.....

I think we can just take the loan to themselves as a great indicator without splitting hairs over guessing the details. Assuming that politicians are the same everywhere - dishonest and out for lining their pockets, it doesn't matter HOW they are going to do it. What matters is that they are obviously prepping to take advantage of SOMETHING. Those of us riding along will just happen to also benefit. (We are the little suckerfish clinging onto the side of the shark. We just happened to pick the meanest and hungriest shark out there!) They can't be any more obvious or less subtle without raising more cries of corruption - ie; by enacting laws that favor them only and not the comman Iraqi.

As opposed to: back in the early '90's when our Congress voted themselves a 33% pay raise, and gave the military 4%. If the Iraqi govt were to do something like that now, they would be throwing any attempt at credibility in the garbage and cause an uproar both at home and in the international community.

Don’t know if any one else saw this but about 2 weeks ago I read an article that said these guys make $5,000 per month & they also get $7,000 for security, even though most of them live in the green zone. I can’t find the article any more so I hope someone else saw that one. If they don’t have to pay for personal security that gives them almost 18m dinar pay per month, they would be able to pay that loan back in 3 months not 3 years.

I believe it's the 4th article down on alsabaah home page, ÌÑíÏÉ ÇáÕÈÇÍ . Strange thing is, if you click on the link for the english version of their home page the article is not there but if you put the original homepage through a translator(google) it shows up.

Don't worry, the great thing about this investment. Is that if the RV dose not happen he can always sell them to us. Or on ebay, we should always ask our Friends first though!!!!!!!!!
