the Hydrocarbon or Oil law relates specifically to Oil projects, such as refineries and drilling, and the FIL or foreign investment law, the one we are waiting for that has to mean also a currency revalue, is relevant to all overseas investments apart from Oil, ie PEPSI shares, construction, that sort of thing...

the fact that they are already talking about the hydrocarbon law leads one to believe that the FIL is actually a done deal and we are just waiting for the announcement of that and the reval, peg or float, not sure which, pertaining to the securing of baghdad to an (middle east!) reasonable level, and the smaller denominations all being in place in the banks ( i think already done).

before the stock market opens to overseas interests, the FIL must be ratified and announced, and the currency revalued, so as. for example, one Texan Billionaire cannot buy the whole country over tea and bickies!

The reval or float is inevitable, not just for Iraq but the rest of the world as well, too big a project to be abandoned. The US forces are not going anywhere soon.
And with the Gwuar (spelling) soon to be pumping out Na+H20, stuff needs to get done. Unfortunately, governments view their people as DISPOSABLE, we see this in their lack of acting quickly. All in all it is about the OIL. When everything is in place it will have happened. Be assured it IS HAPPENING NOW!

We can help the r/v ourselfs. You want to know how? Just spread the word like crazy that you can invest in Pepsi in Iraq for .30 a share. The US stock price is over 30.00 a share. There is literally thousands of these stock prices in Iraq. It is just not open yet. But it will be, and if all the Investers in the world knew this (which I believe they do) the r/v would and will happen as they announce the FIL as well as open the ISX. So help the cause, get loud, hit the boards telling all to get ready to Invest in Iraq stock as the exchange opens. You might be surprised what the Loud Voice will do.

And yes to the statement before that they have until October to get the ISX open. It should have done been open, but it will be located in Baghdad. At one point awhile back they were in the furnishing stages of the new ISX building prior to the violence getting back in Baghdad.

I would like to know this aswell, so i did alittle research, i found the budget plan for the U.S. and were it states;

(Note that the level of 2006 funding for this purpose totals about $120 billion, including amounts in the pending supplemental appropriation bill.) The President recently indicated that troops will still be in Iraq until at least 2009.

And i also found some interesting reading, do you know how much US spend in Iraq??

they spend 8 billion a month in Iraq. That equates to 2 billion dollars a week, or 267 million dollars a day, or 11 million dollars AN HOUR.

And Bush doesnt do this for free i can tell you that much!
Thats why he wants this to reval, the sooner the better!

According to a statement issued by the Stock Exchange market index rose by 2.510% today, compared with the previous session and closed at 25.075 points.
The index has increased at a meeting last Wednesday by 1.477% to 24.461 points at the end of the meeting.
Extended to include the high volume of shares traded, which rose significantly to $ (443) million shares valued at 691 million dinars. circulation versus 318 million worth 493 million dinars meeting last Wednesday.
It was the day the circulation of shares of 21 companies (92) joint stock company listed on the market. Winning stocks exceeded those losers if the prices of shares (13) companies have decreased
