Good one Adster, thanks for the reminder as to why we're here! Now, in the meantime maybe for fun we should start a "Dear Boss, I'm outta here" thread just to see what kind of fond farewell we'd bid our employers, once the peg hits...

After reading this again I'm sure it's good news!!! The Imf and world bank wouldn't sign a five year contract on a lop, it has to reval.
Don't have the link as it was posted on another forum. Sounds good!!!
11 July 2006 (Baghdad: Al Sabah newspaper)
The Iraqi Government has formed a Committee chaired by the United Nations for the preparation of an international contract, which is to be supported by the World Bank, in coordination with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and regional financial organizations, as well as the original donor states.
The statement explained that the intended contract, apart from helping progress in political, economic and social fields over the next 5 years, would also concentrate on the development of mechanisms to serve the economic transformation of Iraq by offering the opportunity for integration in regional and international economies.
The statement said that the Iraqi Government considers this International Contract to be an important step towards the future development of the country.

new foreign investment law in August
Iraq to pass new foreign investment law in August
11 July 2006 (PortAl Iraq)
During his tour to Arab Gulf countries, the Iraqi Prime Minister stated that the new foreign investment law will be discussed by the Cabinet next Tuesday and will be probably voted on by the Parliament by the end of August.
Accordingly, he called for the Arab businessmen to seize the investment opportunities in Iraq, especially in the oil, industry, agriculture, construction and services domains.
Well we should see the "New New Iraqi Dinar any day now, why they have around 45 days to recall and exchange".

Dinar Peg????
Pips/Cigar/Mike/Adam,
With all of the negative emails, statements, and articles that has come out over the last few days, are your sources still saying July 20-31 at 1.10-1.15?

I don't know about everyone else, but I think I've got "dinar thread fatigue". I simply can't read another million word article or heartfelt, hopeful posts. The roller coaster is giving me an upset stomach. Addicted as I am, I think I'm going to take a couple of days off, like the very wise Adster, and figure that what will be will be. Maybe I'll hear the news on NPR. (sorry Danny! They're a lot closer to center than you think.)
Love and blessings to all of you.kristin

My husband and I have recently been turned on to the Dinar. We are thinking what to do with our money. How are we supposed to cash it and how do we cash it wont our wonderfu l government wonder where we got all this cash from? Any ideas on how to become weatlhy gracefully.
I think i should give to those who are good to us. How would we buy a house if we wanted without divulging where our money came from!
My brother and i suggest that having money means nothing if you are not healthy. Try toasting with some XanGo Juice. Removed. referral links in siggy only and ad in add section please.-neno
Sure to keep you healthy enough to spend all your money, and not on Doctors bills.Last edited by marlecaste; 12-07-2006 at 02:04 AM.
