    Default free reading lesson

    Loops , it says this:
"We have suggested to the Governor of the Central Bank raising three zeroes on the Iraqi dinar and the lifting so that the value of the dinar was equal to the dollar"

what part of "equal to the dollar" cant you understand??!! that means 1:1, Dinar, USD.

my son could, and he's just started school!!

if you bother to ring HSBC, and many other banks worldwide, and even bother to READ this forum, you will see much evidence of banks that will be happy to exchange the hard cash, post reval.

how about you sell me your 2 million dinar for $10 for the lot, cut your losses, and stop being negative in my favourite forum??!!

    I think mr.loops mean that:

    25000.....would equal 25 Dinar
    10000.....would equal 10 Dinar
    5000.......would equal 5 Dinar
    1000.......would equal 1 Dinar
That just took everything out of circulation below that would be change and the 100 Dinar coin they have now would be the largest currency they would have.
They would have to print everything again to even get a 100 Dinar paper note and deal with re-distribution to all the banks to put them in circulation. They would have to pull all current paper notes in circulation out of circulation also.

I believe we will go from .00068 to .68 and the current notes will be removed as they get turned in.

Any other way of doing it leaves Iraq in total disarray and de-stabilizes the monetary system and the Dinar that they have tried so hard to keep stable!

For me that don't make sense but for you? :)

Not a dumb question Neno and you are right, just another way of saying the same thing.. 1 USD divided by 1.477 gets us right back to the 0.68 rate. All the same thing.

    Default undervalued at 1:1

"equal to the dollar" as quoted article says, means 1:1.
its christmas, and all our b'day, all at once!!

think about it, 1:1 isnt steep. its actually still undervalued.

iraq now outputs 2.5M barrels a day.

how much did they out put b4 the war? bout the same maybe lil bit more.

what was the dinar worth then? a lot more than 1Usd.

so its really worth about 1.5 USD isnt it??!!

Thanks clueless, btw like the name. I get 1.477 Divided by two equals .07385 =.074 this was the way I divided it.

But it has been brought to my attention to divide the dollar by 1.477 then it will equal .677048 = .68 My Bad clueless
