Thread: Iraq/Dinar News. 09/05 to 01/14/07

I went into a wells fargo a couple months back and asked them if they currently exchanged Iraqi dinar and the guy looked at me crazy and said, " do you know we're at war with them... they're on our black list of currencies..." I didn't say much but I'm sure he'll figure it out for himself sooner than later.

I am reminded of the National Guard soldier in Animal House screaming at the top of his lungs, "REMAIN CALM!!!".


Really I don't know how long all of you have been on this train. Try and remain calm until the ride is really over. It's not over until it's over. Which means when the banker tells me I can have my $150.. per DINAR. Then it is over. It's getting awful interesting though aint it.

That 'warning' has always been there. Don't let it worry you. It is just telling folks to beware of investment scammers and there ARE IQD scammers about. Look at the rate though, 1,426.40!!!

I have been doing this for almost three years. I have always been so mesmerized by this entire adventure. It's INSANE I tell ya.
It is about 7AM in Bagdhad right now so it will not be much longer. WOW!

At War with Iraq. Funny, how people dont understand what is going on. We have never been at War with Iraq. We are there, to Help Iraq. Now, we were at War, in Iraq, to oust Sadam. That was over pretty darn quick. Now, we are there, to Help Protect Iraq. I had to say this. He mostlikely doesn't know if his bank has Gold, or Cash, in their Vault aswell.

Sounds like the other Banker that said 25,000nid's for $1.00

I've read a number of post in the past refering to BofA buying/selling IQD. Finally for the first time, did I personally made the time to go to a full service branch rather than my in the store kind. Living in Oceanside Ca, Camp Pendelton Marine base is a stone throw away. BofA caters to the military here. So when i asked my teller if she was familiar with the IQD, she said yes and that they have bought and sold IQD...... But today when she looked up for the exchange she said hmmmmmm thats odd, it's not here. She asked me to wait a minute and left/returned with MIL BofA book that had all the currencies that they buy and sell, She turned the pages that had the IQD with all the notes 25k to 250 and also had the old dinars with a big red stamp (DO NOT BUY)
Again she said these are the ones right, yes , once again she shares that she didn't understand why it wasn't on her screen, If Id please wait while she spoke to the bank Mgr. couple minutes later, she returns and says that I will have to come back monday and they will call their forign exchange office to get the daily rate. Then she could take my dinar and give me USD. (im wanting to exchange so I can wire more money to Warka -- for those who may want to know why im selling.

I'll let you know what happens monday.
