What your friends' point is exactly what I believe will happen. Just like the Shite Shrine attack EVERYONE was crying (bloody) "Civil War"! Instead, it was one of those moments that really rallyed everyone together. Now we have a situtation of an attack that is just as bad and the same people (and more) are crying "Civil War"! However, just as the last time (and more) we see the WORLD coming together to push for an end to the violence. Which just so happens to come at this investments' critical moment of being offically put on the market. This could be the thing that gets this reval ball rolling.

I believe that too. And you are right, it IS a real concern. Bombs are being detonated every single day, innocent people losing their lives. Then again, you don't hear much about all the good things going on over there. The Red Cross is doing a lot of work, helping out those in need (just to name at least one). Thank-you! I was just about to ask Dinar Excited if it helped to think of this phrase as an oxy-moron since there is NOTHING "civil" about war. Don't mean to be trite, but a re-val would have to make all participants pause to reconsider better options...hoping, anyhow.

In re-reading this article, it appears that a reval close to the dollar might take a while. My take on this information is that it will be months before we see a super significant gain on this investement (hopefully I am wrong!). They'll probably set it at that rate and see what happens over a period of time. Then hopefully they polish things up and set it closer to the dollar!

thing is bob, you never know when its a war zone what will happen next. and especially since there are major world politics overseeing this particular war. i suspect there will be some things said between dubya and nuri that will be similar to shit hitting the fan. expect a different day dawning.

Jordan describes Bush's visit as "very important"AMMAN, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- Spokesperson for the Jordanian government Nasser Jodah on Tuesday described US President George W. Bush's visit to Jordan as "very important".
In his weekly press conference, Jodah said the visit aims at finding solutions for unresolved regional issues concerning Iraq, Palestine, and Lebanon, which require great efforts to preserve regional security and stability.

He added that the Jordanian and US sides will hold talks on the means of reinforcing bilateral relationships, noting that a meeting will take place between Bush, Jordanian King Abdullah II, and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki. Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas will be visiting Amman during the same period as well.Jodah said that King Abdullah is playing an essential role to redirect world attention to the Palestinian issue by holding talks with regional countries, adding that King Abdullah II is also concerned about holding meetings with representatives of all segments of the Iraqi population to help reach common understandings and views for the interest of Iraq.

This is a quick question for all of you. When is the Government of Iraq supposed to recess next? I thought I had read somewhere near mid december. If this is true, can we expect a r/v sooner as the Gov. may need to be around for when this r/v's? Lets hope for sooner.....much sooner

That's right the killers don't care about prosparity. They will kill and destroy by any means neccesary. The masterminds of evil unfortunately are not stupid as we think. The Iraqi government and intelligence community has visability of all sorts of aspects of these murderers to include their financing. Until the security situation is solved our dreams will be delayed. I know a lot of positive things are going on throughout Iraq, but the capital Baghdad represents the whole country. That place is out of control.
The solution is to move our guys to the boarders, and let the Iraqi government handle the situation their way. My Iraqi soldier friends say that they can fix the situation but we won't let them handle it the way it needs to be handled. Maybe something to his statement. Hmmmm?
