So in the last few days we have articles about Japan, the Czech Republic, (I think) Slovenia, and South Korea lining up to get into Iraq's financial pants...in addition to the deals that have been made with France, Australia, China, Jordan, Iran, Russia...am I forgetting anybody??

Folks, I don't think this would not be happenning without a fully tradeable, fully convertable means of conducting business (meaning their CURRENCY) on the horizon.

Breathe in, Breathe out, now SMILE...the tide is turning...these countries will be the driving force behind our hopes and dreams!!!

South Korean Ambassador discusses his country's participation in Iraq's reconstruction

South Korean Ambassador in Baghdad, Jank ki Hu, met with the Iraqi Minister of Construction and Housing, Bayan Dizah Yi, to discuss the contribution of Korean companies in strategic mega projects in Iraq.

An official statement said that Minister, Bayan, expressed the desire of Iraqi government for the contribution of Korean companies in implementing special projects in roads and bridges in addition to building three million residential units through the contribution of the Ministry's budget.

The Minister welcomed the signing of a cooperation document with the South Korean side in housing field, especially that Korean companies are well experienced in it.

On his part, the South Korean ambassador expressed the readiness of his country's companies to access the Iraqi markets and implement the Ministry's projects in all fields, including housing as well as roads and bridges.

My husband is a truck driver and was in Houston today. He went a branch that had the dinar. Picked it up on the spot. (Maybe it was our lucky day!) Good sign is that one of people who works there told him they bought $10 million! I'm more sure every day that we made the right decision to invest in dinar.

That would be totally awesome. I just picked up a few bills today at my local Chase branch (ordered yesterday) but they did not tell me anything about stopping. Decided I'd rather spend my weekend beer money on a couple more dinar just in case this was our weekend.

Let's hope Doug came across some good news for us MrsCK.

I don't really know what this means, but I love anything that show's Iraq acting independently...

Iraq raises price of its Petrol to America and reduce it to Europe and Asia

An official of the Iraqi oil sector stated yesterday that Iraq raised the official selling price of Basra light crude oil to be shipped in December to its clients in the United States, but reduced the price to buyers in Europe and Asia.

The Iraqi Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) determined the sales price of December to American buyers at a deduction of 8.20 $ of the price in West Texas Intermediate crude oil contracts, compared to the American discount of 8.90 $ in November contracts.
The price of oil shipments in December contracts for Asia was determined at the prices of Oman and Dubai crude oil minus 2.90 $, which is ten cents less on the price in November.

Which branch is Houston? We were not able to buy it at the Chase we went to in Houston. darn it.....

We called Chase Bank in Tusla OK today and asked about buying more dinar. They told us that they were not selling it at any Chase Bank any more.
