The original count showed a 78% majority "yes", and 21% "no" in Ninevah. Gov't officials are saying there were no major discrepancies in the vote count. Therefore the constitution is good as passed in my opinion.

Yes, several steps, it was a landslide YES vote, and with millions voting, I think that was the most important statement of all the democracy is welcome in Iraq.

This may be a somewhat silly question, but for someone who has never invested in foreign currencies, how does this work? How do you cash in later?

the hope is that the New Iraqi Dinar will become just another currency.
you'll then be able to cash it in at the normal places:
banks, airports, travel agencies etc etc.

you can exchange your dinars at a world bank when they hit the world market.

I am interested in that too, as well as the ramifications with the fed. Does one owe taxes on money made in currency speculation?
